MTN agrees to pay $1.7bn fine in 3 years

MTN Nigeria has agreed to pay the $1.7 billion(N300 bn) fine the Federal government slammed on it following their failure to deactivate 5.1 million unregistered sim cards. In a statement released today June 10th, the company said the fine will be paid within a space of 3 years
“MTN Nigeria has agreed to pay a total cash amount of Naira 330 billion over three years”the statement read.
