NYSC to deploy serving doctors & other medical corpers to IDPs Camps

Director General of the National Youth Services Corp, Brigadier General Suleiman Zakari Kazaure said yesterday that Doctors, Nurses and other medical Corp members will be deployed to all the major Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camps across the country.

Kazaure revealed this at the Damare IDPs camp in Yola. He said that the move is to solve the present medical challenges facing the camps. The Corp members deployed to the camps will assist them in day to day activities while serving the nation...

      Wit the way IDP camps get bombed do u think this country has any security at all ? Why always putting corpers in arms way all d time ? Infact is NYSC even needed rily ???

    If there are medical challenges faced in any idp camps, then employ professionals. Don't exploit fresh grad cos of d token U're giving every month (even tho medical students alawee is not token) but nonetheless, I c dis as exploitation!

    Here we go again..... These Youth Corpers are not soldiers who have signed up to give their lives in defense of the country. Therefore they cannot and should not be used as cannon fodders, once again, by government given the experience of their being engaged during elections. The IDP camps are considered legitimate targets by Boko Haram in their campaign, so we should not put anyone there who should not be there, unless they express a willingness to volunteer and to be so deployed.

      This is more like, monkey dey work baboon dey chop. Why send youths into an unsafe, insecure and unsavory situation? Why not continue the hiring preference for expats from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan as opposed to local talents, esp from the South? Otherwise, train the almajaris in your enclaves, by fire by force, in your medical schools to become doctors too in order, to serve in these IDPs. Why must young southern talents be sacrificed on the purpoted alter of keeping Nigeria one? It is the most likely outcome after all said and done bcos boko haram aka fulani terrorists will make these IDPs easy targets so they can get at these educated southern/eastern/western youths and future generation.
