Colombia legalizes same-sex marriage

A top court in Colombia has officially legalized same-sex marriage in the country. Same sex couples who were already allowed to form civil partnerships, are now permitted to get married just like other heterosexual couples.
 This new law places Colombia as the fourth country in Latin America to legalize same sex marriages. Argentina was the first Latin American country to take the step in July 2010 before Brazil and Uruguay followed suit.

    I thought they were practically all Catholics??? Doesn't surprise me, after all a rotten tree cannot produce good fruits. I am a xtian, according to the bible homosexuality is a sin. While I do not hate homosexuals, I do not condone the wrong doing ...I will show as much love as I can to any gay person but I can never tell him what he is doing is right or encourage him to continue. Being predisposed to it is not as excuse, we encourage violent people to change even if they are predisposed. If it is an illness, they should be helped the same way we would try to help a pedophile. It is unnatural, science agrees that the first and foremost reason for sexual activity is procreation. How can homosexuality be natural if it doesn't lead to procreation. If we were all homosexuals now, it means life on earth would soon seize. Note that as a Christian I have a moral code that makes all 'sins' inexuzable (stealing, adultary, fornication, homosexuality, envies and jealousy etc) we should all be careful so we don't become hypocritical. I have my own weaknesses that I battle with. What is wrong is forcing everybody to accept a bad habit or deliberately trivializing the seriousness of some sins like our religious leaders do. My message, Love everyone, you are not holier than the next person, accept help for your own weaknesses and help other people overcome theirs. One love!!
