South London Church Fined over Loud Early Morning Services

A South London Church has been fined thousands of pounds for holding noisy 3am services aimed at fending off 'evil spirits, deliverance from sickness, financial hardship and demonic soul ties.'

Magistrates have ordered the leaders of Camberwell’s Kingdom Church, a branch of the Bishop Climate Ministries, to pay £7,740.50. This happened after the Southwark Council was flooded with complaints from nearby residents about the services every Saturday morning.

Church leaders were slapped with the fine at Camberwell Magistrates Court after being found guilty of two charges under Section 80 of the Environmental Protection Act 1980. The church has however decided to appeal the fine. A spokesman said, "It is a big fine and we will be appealing against it. I do not deny that we made some noise – we did. But we have spent nearly ten thousand pounds reducing the noise."

  1. Nice one. Pls can the mosque near my house be fined heavily too for waking me up even when I still need to grab some sleep. Religious bodies are just becoming something else. Wondering if that was how loud Christ was.

    1. You can't not compare clubs to churches ..
Clubs or pub do not open businesses around certain communities or areas ..
They also have sound proof ...
I think the churches could do the same ...get sound proof ..make all the noise they want

  24. This's what el-Rufai wants to achieve - as well as reset the brains of our teeming youth to put hardwork over miracles in their quest for progress in life. These pple who brought the religions here no carry am for back like hunch back like us and see as God dey bless them. Before any dunderhead spills crap here, ask yourself about your personal status in life and whether Nigeria makes the smallest component of the device you want to spill the crap with.
