A LIB reader sent in these photos. This is the view of the canal from 3rd Mainland bridge. There is always so much filth in the water especially as you approach Oworonshoki from the island and this does not help the state's image as a
mega city. Here's hoping the Lagos state management would do something about the deplorable sight... see more photos after the cut..

Enugu's second shoe designer
it's not a canal but Lagos lagoon. The refuse is actually a deliberate act of filling the water but body. The filled up part will then be used for building houses. From the pictures you can see it's a new settlement. Almost all parts of Lagos are either filled wt sand or refuse
ReplyDeleteSmilin......eko o ni baje oooooo
ReplyDeleteLagos is just too dirty...
ReplyDeleteThis is too bad! Gov. Ambode SOS pls...
ReplyDeleteThe state government can only do so much but Lagosians are very dirty set of humans, dirty in a very disgusting way. The state government should impose laws regarding this madness, especially on people who threw dirt of out of their cars/buses.
ReplyDeleteOnly God knows how many people have been dumped inside
ReplyDeleteHope when it's cleaned up. Some good citizens will leave it that way.
ReplyDeleteIt's been like that for years now. The flowing ocean packs dirts from wherever and dumps it there.
ReplyDeleteWe need to clean Lagos state
