Photo: Saraki arrives CCT in company of 30+ senators as his trial for false declaration of asset resumes today

The resumed hearing of Senate President Bukola Saraki's trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, commenced this morning March 11th. Saraki arrived the court in company of no fewer than 30 senators. Deputy senate president Ike Ekweremadu, Ben Murray Bruce, Stella Oduah, Hope Uzodinma, Shehu Sani, Dino Melaye, and Sam Anyanwu are among the senators that accompanied him to the court. Saraki is standing trial for false declaration of assets while he was Governor of Kwara state. The case was adjourned till March 18th

  14. Why do 30 Senators have to accompanied Saraki to Tribunal? Is it to defend him or be a witness. I think as Senators they should be looking for a way forward to solve some of the problems the country is facing. Or is part of their assignments.

  22. These are the highest paid senators in the world with the least workload in the world.
    For what purpose would 30 senators be swarming the courtroom. Do they want to intimidate the court or what. It simply shows they have no respect for the principle of separation of powers which is one of the pillars of our constitution.

  25. Nigeria politicians and who they are! You chose to follow someone to court to answer to misdemeanor, aren't you a bird of same feather? Imagine Stella O'Dea still around. I guess Buhari is on his own cos one tree does not make a forest and these other trees around him are definitely not viable ones. PRESIDENT, do your best, leave the rest and allow prosperity judge them while our creator does His will.
