New photos of Musa Gowon, son of former head of state, Yakubu Gowon

Musa Gowon is the 48 year old son of former Head of State, Yakubu Gowon. The former head of state refused to accept Musa as his son for 48 years until two days ago after a DNA test carried out confirmed he was indeed Musa's biological father. Musa is a product of Gowon's affair with late Mrs Edith Ike-Okongwu. See more photos after the cut...

Linda Nwa nne m, see the hateful people on this your blog that cannot give someone a second chance o! I don't even know this man, but, some comments here are hateful. Including those who have done abortion, and those who ordered their "girlfriends" to do abortions, and other heinous crimes, are here casting first stones on this man....Tufiakwa!

  20. Why didn't the former head of State ask for a DNA test all these years? I don't have much regard for a man who sleeps with a woman and finds it convenient to deny paternity-making the child suffer for their actions. The child didn't ask to be born! But for so many years you denied what you created? I wish God could deny you just like that. For the same number of years! Long hiss..

  51. He is an ex convict for 26 years in the UK for drug related issue. He went to prisons at age 22, so, he really needs Gowon for his rehabilitation and reintegration process but he should not come and create a scene in an already peaceful family of the Gowons. May he rediscover himself and the Lord guild him.

  53. To me God is a great God.... he and the mum has finally been vindicated, though the mum is no longer alive to witness this great thing.
he might have suffered in prison as a result of cover-up by some group of men and women who wanted the guy to die.
to the dad Gown, he will live to regret his action towards this guy.
i pray that God forgives him for his actions and also gives his son the heart to accept him, he should do that because that will make take mum more happy where ever she is.....

  62. Musa Gowon and I grew up together as close friends. I always laughed when I subsequently saw the claims by Gen Gowon that Musa is not his son, because Musa is carbon copy of Gen Gowon and had his father's gentle nature. Musa was a guy with a good heart when we were teenagers. I don't know what must have led to the drugs matter in the US but I googled and read the full report on the internet. I hurt so much when I read the news but was happy to see that President Obama pardoned him. Because of Gen Gowon's claims that Musa is not his son I lost respect for him (General Gowon) as a person. Musa and I lost touch when he went to the US and eventually served about 25 years in prison for drug-related charges. This news was also carried in Linda Ikeji's blog. Musa lived with his mum when he and I were friends. I will not say more. I will ask Gen Gowon to go to God and do the needful now that the DNA test is out. Musa if you read this by chance I will find a way to contact you via facebook. Welcome back my good friend Musa!

  66. Gowon was dating Edith Ike seriously and wanted to marry her. But because of the Biafra war his people warned him not to marry an Igbo woman. She was pregnant for him and he didn't have the balls to stand up for her. Who knows if his rejection of the boy affected his psyche and pushed him to carrying drugs? Anyway it's a long time. God should help them live the rest of their years in peace

    ReplyDelete
  67. This one is lost but found son indeed.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Or the drugs were planted on the poor boy by a dad desperate to do away with a child he had persistently denied in the open was his and revelations were about to be made about his true paternity? With military men, you can never tell. The heart of man is desperately wicked. But with God, there is no hiding place. No hiding place at all. For we are all His creations and our lives are in His hands...
