Mercy Aigbe criticized for conditions she listed for anyone who wants to be her PA

Some of her followers are bashing her for wanting a single lady & saying no rigid opening & closing time. Some felt the salary was too small for a graduate while others commended her for wanting to empower a young woman. See the rest of the qualifications after the cut and tell us what you think...

    4. Why bashing her? That's what she wants and am sure people will def submit their Cv. I think her decision about a single PA is very ok cos it's only a single lady dt will have the time to work and travel round with her

      So haters free her

    6. No big deal in the criteria she listed out, but it will be a big deal if there are no monetary incentives. For anyone to work in such condition, where u dnt knw when u go home and attend to personal affairs, then money tipping must b involved, else, nonchallant attitude towards the work. And if mercy feels she can always employ a new person any time, den she will knw the consequences (negative) of hiring and firing. Talking from experience.

    7. People will always talk. I appreciate be for wanting to empower someone.

  20. no need for critics, interested persons who can cope with the conditions can apply after all that is why it is called "qualification requirements". its best she opens up on the job description and conditions so that qualified candidate will know what she is up against and work towards it than keep mute and unleash the conditions to her employee after qualification.

You obviously do not know that it has to be 70-100k because of other things attached to the job. She wrote must be ready to travel. Shey na your papa go pay for those foreign trips? This is not just about a job. It is about exposure and using her to leverage. You guys are smallminded. Go find out how much civil servants make. I think telecom companies are fooling these jobless guys- Newyorker ( Linda let's get married )

  46. I dont know why people like to misunderstand and judge people all the time. No closing time could mean the person can go to work and close by 1pm, 2pm.....up till anytime depending on whether there is work on ground or not. This job sounds to me as fun and the salary is very very ok compared to what many big companies pay their graduate workers. People should learn to see the good side of things and not the bad side all the time. Many people IN Nigeria go to work very early, close very very late and earn half of that amount even without any other allowances and they are intelligent, hard working graduates. Some of these pp criticising do not earn up to that amount.

  47. I dnt see anything bad in what she posted

  48. Most contract staff in Banks and other organizations you are awed are between 30-50k. upon that with high targets and daily high BPs. besides she said basic salary with benefits which might bring it up to 200k monthly!

  49. i want to be Linda PA Oh! incase there is any vacancy

  50. People bashing her are do daft and small minded. It's quite obvious she needs a single young girl who her husband wouldn't complain of keeping late nights. She's an actress her job involves keeping late nights and all. As her assistant she will take care if you to the extent that you might not even get to spend your salary. She will take you everywhere she goes local and international. Isn't that offer great?? Una wey dey complain no even get job sef and are so shallow minded you want her to pay 500k per month. Typical naija brain...

  74. Nice job. Jst dat i am married n dnt reside in lag.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Why criticize her...there's nothing too complex about her requirements

    ReplyDelete
  76. Nigerians are simply hilarious! Won't be surprise to learn that Most of the people abusing this lady have never employed even a ghost before nor their own very younger ones that are unemployed. What they seem to forget is that this could be a great opportunity for the person to move up the ladder en-route her success story. The story must not always be the same for everyone. And for those who are trying to compare her mercy to the discovery of Olajumoke, these are two very different situations.

    ReplyDelete
  77. She didn't put the part that says " she must be able to pimp rich men for her" cos I know that was d major job of d previous PA.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Oya over to the interested applicants.

    ReplyDelete
  79. It's obvious that most of the people bashing her do not understand the post. The successful applicant may end up taking home about 150k monthly or there about. She said "basic salary" btw 70k - 100k, this is exclusive of other allowances like housing allowance, clothing allowance etc. Plus you'll be travelling within and outside Nigeria, this on its own is a big opportunity to widen your horizon and build u up intellectually and career wise. It's not always about the money but sometimes it's about the doors that a job that seems to be giving u so little would open for u. The job cannot be done by a married person because most times you'd be working till late or travelling up n down. And it's her personal choice to get a female. It's best for her. So people should just chill.

  82. A beg leave her alone, the girl try. Minimum wage is N18,500. And that's what the Nigerian govt. said is okay for graduates. During govt customs recruitment, thousands died and no new person got any job, plus the entry fee that was stolen from applicants.
Now a young lady is offering a job, and the nature of her job demands that it be like this. Nobody should criticize her, she has really tried. Whoever gets it would be lucky.

  86. It is obvious a lot of people are unaware of today's realities. There are contract staff in the banking industry without fixed closing time, no health insurance, no job security. They earn about the same amount and are shredded everyday, verbally abused and given huge budgets to deliver. What Mercy posted is an offer; the applicant read through and can cope with the conditions of service. No be by force.
