During the visit, provisions were handed out to the survivors along with pre-loadedmobile phones to facilitate effective day-to-day follow up and communication with the survivors. Of the 12 Survivorsfrom the incident, only 2 are still receiving medical care whilst the other 10 have been discharged and reunited with their families.
During the visit, Lekki Gardens & Homes reiterated their commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of the survivors and confirmed that its welfare team currently deployed to the hospital would remain on ground till the last victim is discharged and reunited with his family.
While the company awaits the conclusion of process and compilation of statutory autopsy report by the Lagos State Government which would enable the identification of deceased persons and expedite engagements with the bereaved families, adequate plans are being put in place to cater for each and every affected family.
Once againLekki Gardens & Homes, sympathizes with the bereaved families and the injured, also re-affirmsits commitment to the premium placed on lives and in every of their business dealings.

ReplyDeleteI don't know how i feel about the way these Lekki Gardens people are being treated. They bring them to court in handcuffs like common criminals. Handcuffs are used on either potentially violent criminals or potential flight risks. Audu Badeh goes to court with arms swinging like a boxer. this is someone who stole billions intended for salaries to buy a house. When the building being constructed by Lagos State on Muri okunola collapsed, we didn't see anyone charged for it, talkless of seeing them in handcuffs. These guys made a mistake with one building, and my heart breaks for those who died or lost loved ones, but what about the thousands of buildings they have built that are providing affordable shelter for hundreds of thousands of people? I understand they are being tested currently to determine if they are fit for habitation. In the culture of the Nigerian witch-hunt i expect to hear that many more of their buildings are defective. But let's be consistent in dispensing justice regardless of who is involved.

ReplyDeleteI just feel sorry for Mr. Richard. A man with a good heart does not reserve such treatment from the government after doing so much to provide affordably homes, and employments for Nigerians. Government remember is your duty to provide home and job for your people. God is watching. May the souls of the dead RIP and quick recovery for their families .
ReplyDeleteI feel so sorry for Mr. Richards. A man with a good heart does not deserve such treatment. After providing affordable homes employment for Nigerians ,all the government could do was to put him behind bars. This's not fair. government should be responsible for the welfare of her citizens. Negligence on government side has led to this unfortunate incident. May the souls of dead RIP, and quick recovery to victims families. May God help lekki gardens not to experience such incident again...
