FG employs Ocholi’s son, gives others Scholarship

The Federal government has offered automatic employment at the Federal Ministry of Justice to Aaron Ocholi, the only surviving son of James Ocholi, Minister of state for Labor and Employment, who died alongside his wife and son in a fatal accident along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Sunday March 6th. ‎ Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, disclosed this today when he visited the bereaved family.

Malami also disclosed that the late Ocholi's other children will enjoy scholarship programmes from the Federal Government. Aaron is a law graduate who was called to bar in October 2015.

Malami said
“I am here to convey Mr President’s condolence message and he has asked me to personally inform you that you have been given automatic employment in the Federal Ministry of Justice. The employment letter is in process and you can resume work after now. Your father was a very hardworking and conscientious member of the Federal Executive Council who was very passionate and worked hard for the realisation of the change agenda of this government. Indeed, it is a sad moment for all of us and the vacuum which his death has created is not only for the family, but the leadership as well. He was a great pillar in the struggle which brought this administration to power. He played a major role in the merger process,”.

  28. I loved James. He nailed the Senate screening. What a wasted brain, full of ideas. But to the employment ish. ...so work dey alright yu just need connect. If 65 percent of employables are unemployed, then Woe unto this country. We are on a keg of gunpowder and we don't even know it.

  49. Does it mean that the position had been available and was not made known to the public who might as well have been interested and capable of providing a better candidate for the job? While it is noble to console the berieved, it is wiser to offer employment to people on fair basis. How can employment be offered on the basis of pity? Does the job belong to Buhari or to the country? And if it belongs to the latter, why not then make the opportunity available to all?

  50. Am not saying is bad, but what about the drivers family or doesn't he have a family?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hmm. I am sad for this young man but what about the many other people who have prematurely lost their nobody-in-the-eyes-of-Muhammadu parents to the same treacherous roads and do not have employment to take care of themselves? SOme of them were even left with siblings to take care of?

  56. Really? Is this a sensible thing to do?? Is he qualified for the job? I thought there are layedout procedures for taking people into civil service. Has this been followed? FG should use their sense not emotions. That's the only way we can move forward this country

  58. What is wring with this country??!!!. A guy finishes from school wirh the best result the school has seen in 54 (or is it 56 years??) and didn't get automatic employment from the federal government, but it takes a tragedy to offer automatic employment to the late minister's son abi??!!. I'm sorry for his loss, i really am, but we have our thinking warped aboout doing things. Nigeria! Wake up!!. Stop using sentiments to run the country!!!

    ReplyDelete
  59. So the FG would keep pretending not to have noticed the student that graduated with a perfect CPGA? It is to be helping people who already are rich from the nation's treasury. Would Nigeria ever be better?

TINYUBU, thank you for the clueless president you forced down the throat of nigerians, i hope you sleep well at night and you are happy with the current growth of the nation's economy. CHANGE!
