Yesterday was the birthday of popular Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri, instead of popping champagne and engaging in many other vain activities, she took a couple of close family and friends and paid a visit to Whanyinna school that is in the slums of Third Mainland Bridge.
For the pupils of the school, the memorable occurrence wasn't just seeing one of their screen favourites; Ruth Kadiri, they all went home with gifts, she gave gifts ranging from school sandals, school bags to food items and some cash donations.
