Yemi Alade slams internet trolls who are mocking Olajumoke's husband for being the one always carrying their baby

Singer Yemi Alade this afternoon took to her Instagram page to slam Internet trolls who have been mocking Olajumoke's husband for being photographed carrying their child while she enjoys the spotlight. Yemi feels this is not a good development and must be addressed. What she wrote after the cut...

"What rubbish is this? Is a woman's place on d side carrying A child ? Did she nt carry the child for 9 months already, endure labour alone? So after all this ,the husband decides to ASSIST his wife and carry their child he Is referred to as a WIFE like it's a thing of shame? What I see is a modern family with normal day to day responsilities and a child to feed but have decided to NEVER GO BACK TO WHERE THEY ARE COMING FROM! PS ; For any man to carry this kid the way he does she must b a REAL woman in his home".

  31. It is not a bad thing for the man to assist his wife, but let her get a maid that will be taking care of her child to avoid problems with her husband later on.

Truth be told men are unpredictable. If he is not getting attention the way he wants, it MAY pose a problem for her.

    ReplyDelete
  32. people can so talk-talk all their life without any good thought,Oljumoke should stay focus on her career to avoid distraction from people.

  43. I do not understand what these people problems are? It's their life and they have the right to do what is good for them. When we had little children, it is I (the husband) who normally carry my children while my wife will hold the bag containing their diapers, clothes etc and that did not change me to the wife and vice versa. You actually have to treat your wife well because it is however you "used" her that you will meet her. There's nothing wrong, infact I advocate it for a man to help the wife with whatever is the most difficult task at the moment. That's what I see as being manly and not being a bully.

  65. I dnt even carry my son wen my husband is there.

    ReplyDelete
  66. First things first, the picture looks odd for the fact that if you are doing a photo shoot featuring her family why would you not prep the whole family for the shoot and make it look good instead of only focusing on Olajumoke and letting the rest of her family appear unhappy? This is exactly why this shot is producing negative comments.

  69. Tell them Yemi. Some Nigerians mentality is terrible. They are only just beginning and people want to give the man a reason to have issues when there are no issues. So many couples can go far but they insist on being silly and backwards. The team works when you work together. Not when you let what others will think define you. Work together and grow, insist on being backwards in life and stay behind, simple.

  89. If I am with my husband he carries the children, he is stronger, doesn't wear heels and it is just the right thing to do. So you want to be the type of wife that will carry handbag, diaper bag, baby, wear heels and endanger the life of your child. The man should lift the child. In my case I had a CS there is a stage the child is too heavy for the mother to carry. Meanwhile he is not complaining. When she was selling the bread he was carrying the child so that has not changed.

  105. Na naija mentality. Whenever I go out with my hubby, he carries the baby while I carry my handbag and diaper bag. He is stronger and our baby getting heavier for me to carry, so he carried her and even when we use stroller, he pushes it . He never complains and so it willingly. He changes diapers and feeds too but I suspect though that my hubby would not like to carry handbag which is the other alternative lol.

  106. My hubby is super busy yet he spends more time with our daughter than I can manage. Does that make him my wife or me a bad mother? Notice all the negative comments about this are coming from non parents. A parent understands this situation clearly.

Soon they would say he is not good rep for her and ruin their marriage, spoiling God's blessings with their petty views. Jumoke please honor your man as you always have and God will continue to favour you

In the Nigerian setting, this picture says a lot!!! Just compare his appearance with that of his wife! The posture, demeanour, the carriage..come on! The husband looks like the wife's house boy!!! (No offence meant.)
Even if he was invited, he should have politely but firmly declined.
