Wema Bank’s Staff Give Out A Day’s Salary For Love

In a bid to share some love this season, particularly with people in dire need, the staff of Wema Bank Plc have each donated a day’s salary for Love in an initiative they named Purple Nectar (www.purplenectar.info). This initiative, designed to touch 10 lives positively while celebrating this year’s Valentine Day, is driven by staff with the support of management of the bank.

The Purple Nectar initiative is a shift from the conventional romantic way of celebrating St Valentine’s Day between couples,to showing love to people in the Nigerian society who are in need of immediate assistance. These individuals were selected by staff across the regions in Nigeria. They currently face serious health issues/challenges ranging from cancer, kidney failure, polio, abandonment as well as other difficult life situations. Donated salaries will be split equally among the beneficiaries, to be presented during this season.

Members of the public are also encouraged to go to www.purplenectar.info to drop their valentine wishes for Wema bank’s staff special valentines. These love messages will be presented to them alongside donations from Wema Bank staff.
