It has killed and ruined (and keeps on killing and ruining) billions of lives. Tribalism is the root cause of the slave trade. Blacks captured their fellow blacks and sold them off to white men as slaves; whites were the ones who abolished slave trade but we Africans never wanted to end it because we were making tons of money from it. In fact freed black slaves kept slaves of their own and even treated them far worse than whites did. Returnee slaves from America oppressed the indigenous blacks in Liberia, treating them worse than blacks were ever treated while under slave trade in America. We have never paused to ponder these facts.

More so, it is hereditary in them, as such we can't do anything about it. They systematically pass it onto their children consciously. Why are we surprise when we observe or perceive racism? We should develop that tough skin they've always known us for and then move on when someone is racist to u.It pains them when u don't say a word back at them.

ReplyDeletePlease stop posting such nonsense. Why are Nigerians (or blacks as a whole) so concerned about racism? Tribalism is alive and well and very much upheld by our traditions and even our constitution yet we are all so flustered by racism. Tribalism is the root cause of Africa's underdevelopment. It has killed and ruined (and keeps on killing and ruining) billions of lives. Tribalism is the root cause of the slave trade (blacks captured their fellow blacks and sold them to the whites for money; whites were the ones who abolished slave trade but Africans never wanted to end it because it was a lucrative trade). In America freed black slaves kept slaves of their own and even treated them far worse than whites did. Returnee slaves from America oppressed the indigenous blacks in Liberia, treating them worse than blacks were ever treated while under slave trade in America. The xenophobic attacks in South Africa targeted fellow blacks (not whites or Asians) for murder. Here in Nigeria many are being ostracized, victimized and even murdered for not marrying from the same state, the same tribe, the same village, or the same compound. We need to ponder on these facts.

If a white man had posted a similar derogatory post relating to an African we would all be screaming racism but here you were doing the same and not even realizing that we are the greatest racists on the face of the planet. Do you remember your post about a Nigerian using his life savings for flying in an aeroplane for the first time? The flight attendant did not mock him for not having ever boarded a plane. Instead the white man was very honored to have served the Nigerian. A fellow black man would most likely have belittled him and felt embarrassed to have attended to him.
You recently posted a story of a white woman saving a little boy from Calabar from certain death because he was labelled a wizard. Many whites are in various parts of Africa putting in selfless work to save us from our self-imposed backwardness. Foreign governments, charities and private individuals have donated (and are still donating) trillions of dollars in cash, aid and technical expertise to Africa. All we blacks do is steal and squander this money instead of utilizing them to eliminate our poverty. We hardly appreciate these acts of selflessness and we always focus on a few, overblown, non-representative incidents, opinions and acts of discrimination.
The truth is no amount of screaming, writing, rioting and protests will wipe out racism. Black people the world over need to sit up, buckle up and work very hard to rid ourselves of our backward, fetish, superstitious and extremely primitive lifestyles. The elimination of racial (and tribal) discrimination is in our hands and not in the hands of white men.
