Saraki speaks at Social Media Week, says his CCT trial is an act of persecution

Senate President Bukola Saraki attended this morning's session at the Social Media Week in Lagos where he addressed some issues. While fielding questions from Participants, Saraki said that the advent of Social Media in Nigeria has made the government of the day more accountable.

Answering questions on his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, Saraki said the fact that he was not tried from 2003 to 2011 when he was governor of Kwara state shows that the trial is an act of persecution. See some of the things he said as tweeted by Writer, Dolapo Aina, Channels TV's Seun Okinbaloye and others after the cut...

    1. Oh please shut up there. Which administration has zero relevance for corruption? This one abi the future one? You are actually a Nigerian fool then clearly making an ignorant statement. If this administration was really going after the corrupt Nigerians, people like Amechi, governor of Borno state who is the boko harram King will be in jail. They are deceiving you people arresting one pdp person a day while your president travels the world for health treatments so that you can be there thinking they are working. Stupid Nigerians. Stupid

  15. Don't worry, Senator. If it is a trumped up charge, it won't stick & you will walk. But where the evidence ties you to the crime, your ass is ours.

  16. @Bonita Bislam, what do you mean by different administrations?? If truly it is not persecution but a so-called act of fighting corruption why is it just the senate president that is being tried at CCT? Trust me, almost all the senators at the NA were all past state govs who obviously did not declare their assests before and even after their tenures were over. I don't see any of them awaiting trial at the CCT along side their president.
