On February 3rd, 2016 at about 1930hours, Sgt. The Police Officer in question has been arrested, tried in an orderly room and subsequently dismissed from the Force. He will be arraigned in court tomorrow 5/2/2016 to face the consequences of his inaction. The Lagos State Police Command wishes to re-assure the members of the public of her resolve to deal decisively with officer (s) who misconducted themselves in this manner.
The police is ever committed to protection of lives and properties. Meanwhile the Command regrets the action of this dissident erring officer and sympathize with the family of the deceased. However the Inspector-General of Police reiterates his commitment to always ensure that police personnel uphold the guidelines of Force Order 237 on use of fire arms and his resolve to deal decisively with any member of the force whose action negates this laid down rule.

  14. Hello Linda, I'm sorry I have to digress. Please help me post my question to the authorities concerned so I can make plans.
Regarding this upcoming Lagos marathon, are vehicular movements restricted from lekki axis towards the mainland?
No one seems to know if it's both lanes on the 3rd mainland bridge that will be closed to vehicles on Saturday and I'd like to know so I can make alternative arrangements.
I'd really appreciate some response as I have to keep a very important appointment on the mainland on that day.
    Thank you

  23. Good one.I was almost killed by a team of police patrol on one friday night. On this night i was returning frm work ,we all know lagos trafic on fridays. At about after 11pm close to my house i ran into them .i was ask to stop which i did. They said why was i driving with one full light,i told them it just went off on my way when i ran into pot hole. They said i have commited an offence that my car and i will be taken to their office.I said what for, that was how one of them hit me on head. Before i knw what was happening i was pushed into my car forcing me to start the car to go with them to office but i refused.I was asked to release my car key to them which i did but unfortunately for them security on my car did not permit them to start the car. That was how one of them kocked his raffle and fired threaten to shoot at me the next shooting.I called my neighbour to come meet me there on noticing that i have placed a call to someone same person shoot again second time .My plate number was removed and taken to their office on known to them that i knw second in command in their office. This second command the following morning on sighting the number knew it was my number .He called me to ask me what my number is doing in his office.i went their and explained what happen to him,at that point my number was returned to me and the useless police officer that fire two rounds was asked to pay for the amunations wasted and apologise to me before he can handover and close duty which he did. These guys were all drunk becos i saw bottles of drinks in their back pocket each. That was how God saved me

The way some policemen parade ikorodu with a black Lexus Rx330 an harrass innocent boys, it's very annoying. Please the Commissioner of Police and the DPO of Ipakodo police station should call his boys to order. They also mount different road block on Owode Ibeshe road, by Living stone school. I trust our ever performing and reliable IGP Oga Arase will do something about it.
