  5. Linda would be nice if you read up once in awhile. anyway let me enlighten you. Feet washing during a marriage ceremony is mainly a jewish ritual it symbolizes selflessness by both parties. The groom washes the feet the of his wife and she does same. So remove the idea that she alone washed his feet. it is an act carried out by both parties.
