Man says he's willing to sue the Nigerian army on behalf of man beaten by Cadets
Did he say one billion dollars? This is about the man who was severely beaten by army cadets in Abuja in 2014. The video of the beating went viral last week. See more after the cut...
My brother this is Nigeria what of those ones that is be beating every day by them well i weep for this country under terrorist buhari. May God bless America for me,vote for Donald trump for America to be more great.
Lol, really.... if at all U haven't been out of the country. See some movies... our friends in the west get a lot of money for a lot less. Just a waiter who dint attend to them ryt. U see lawyers trooping to represent the case like he said for free. Then our so called lawyers here have the smoking gun already in terms of evidence but can't or wouldn't do it
Guy no waste your time, your BIASED PRESIDENT will cover up for them. If you are among the people that voted for that NUISANCE, I suggest you SHUT YOUR MOUTH. "Jonathan is too slow and quiet we need military regime" This is Military regime you asked for. Una go hear weeeen
our NBA is bullshit and couple with our noise maker human rights lawyers, where is femi falana nau,or as these issue does not concern GEJ so he has suddenly turn deaf and dumb, rubbish people, if GANI was alive I bet u the NDA would have been feeling the heat by now.
This man is making a huge sense, even the way these force men will shamelessly subject a woman's handbag to an embarrassing scrutiny, they need their job to be properly defined. Now the common Nigerian who is not a uniform man can't live life freely without being intimidated and oppressed by these jobless touts called uniform men. There should be a law that will restrict force men generally in the level of assault the masses suffer.
True. They do not have any duty on Nigerian soil. They should read their job description for that. They can assist in terrorist activity control but we have the DSS and SSS for other sensitive activities on Nigerian soil
anything short of a dismissal of those cadets or maybe now officers would be rubbish,it just shows the state of our military institutions in Nigeria, if they had honour or respect for their institutions, they would have publicly identified the cadets by now, butni guess they are busy perusing the Internet and social media so as to target terrorise anybody making negative remarks about them,SMH for institutions that are supposed to protect its citizens but have actually turned to terrorising them, institutions that want to be honoured and respected but whom cannot honour and respect themselves and other citizens, institutions that labels it's civilian populace as "bloody civilians". a coward is an advantaged individual, cooperation or institution that lords it over a disadvantage individual, cooperation or institution.
Nnenne Geaorge pls if u can't say anything intelligent just don't say anything its not by force. How on earth will someone not win the case?wow Nigerians have been beaten into submission to the extent that they can't even reason properly.God help us.
Is a figure of speech..that case is worth millions of dollars if it were in the US ofcuz..anyway such doesn't happen in the stays anyway..when a cop abuses his power in the US actions are taken right away..
Gbam!!! Am in support...all these lazy officers...when it comes to their make work they do nothing..but when it comes to beating up a civilian that's where u see them...come one on one they are not even fit to fight....we just dey respect the fcking uniform..I swear anyone wey enter my trap I go beat am relocate..
My brother take a chill pill.. Not in Nigeria .. They nearly killed me at signal barracks Mile 2 in a similar case. .The truth is that we don't have a country
According to Gani Fawehinmi, esq, TO BE LAWFUL IN A LAWLESS SOCIETY IS A CRIME. If this individual was residing in one of these developed countries, he would have won a jackpot to the tune of millions of money. No lawyer in nigeria could take the initiative to sue on behalf of this innocent man and win millions of naira for the violation of his fundamental human rights. Yet we have a president who should be fighting for the common man that voted for him busy shuffling around the globe being silent on this matter. He is the commander in Chief of the armed forces and should by now have brought all the culprits involved in the dehumanisation of the man to book, dismissed and jailed
i expect all our social media campaigners calling speaking for high profile politicians under trial to speak out. if you want to be seen as a voice for the voiceless this is such case your voices should be needed. A generation of hypocrites.
This guy should calm down and not waste his resources taking d Nigerian army to court. D guy was assaulted by cadets and not army personnel. These are just kids in d academy and not employees of d Nigerian army. It's like a secondary school student or university undergraduate harassed u and u want to sue d school instead of their parents or d kids themselves. D guy can go ahead sha if he wants to waste his precious resources. D army academy may be responsible for disciplining their cadets but can't b held liable for d cadet's personnel actions bcos d cadets don't even have a contract or assignment with d army, they are just students in training
Really? So, the academy does not have rules governing them? The academy is not under any body/organization? And why did the army come out to apologise/investigate the matter? Oga anonymous, go and sit down somewhere you don't know what you are saying. So again, because these guys are cadets, they could act this way and because 'These are just kids in d academy and not employees of d Nigerian army' they will go free or they just tell the victim 'Pele ma bin u so gbo' for your info, dem neva jam beta lawyer wey get craze, stubborn wella. Dem go pay for damages so tey even dia pockets go know say dem beat person. Nonesense. Keep talking trash you hear?
You foolish gaan o. As long as they remain cadets affiliated to the Nigerian Army, then the Nigerian Army is liable. The only way Nigerian army can be absolved is if t cadets are expelled.
Nothing will happen. We should not deceive ourselves. Lawyers only prefer to make cheap money these days. Some are very very diligent and successful and will always do their best to help but not with a case like this. Only God will help us.
This is dehumanization, using the military uniform to intimidate and project crime, what is bad in giving compliment, the treatment by the cadet is absord and very unacceptable. I promise to yet sue on behalf of the guy who was a victim of such. Ky13n@yahoo.com let him write me. Ill push and sue to the end of it. Our military is turning to animals in human skin.
I like to know where that girl is right now ,she should be drilled and put in kirikiri for spoiling the image of Nigeria Military force ,not only this incident that has happened have also been abused by this army people for no just cause ,they need to know the obligation of been in the military ,In abroad you don't see them outside they don't come out ,even though they out not for the civilians but for war or something important ,anyways is the kind of country we are ,when even police is corrupt ,big belle men as police ,donno how some people even joined the police force ,citizens are suppose to treated as citizens
No one gives a shit if the case is won or not. Although, the cadet lady isn't the perfect scapegoat for military brutality, however, an example should be made of her. I like how Nigerians see problems like this and just turn a blind eye like it doesn't count.
biko,,some Nigerians are just bastards by nature! even unrealated person dey riise defend fellow man,all u say is slander...i wish na ur papa dem batter!!!
We should not castigate a well meaning Nigerian who is trying to defend a brother by rallying support. We should learn from this do same where possible. Visit this link http://cur.lv/v77wv and see how we can contribute to ourselves and the society at large.
