'I can make dollar come back to N200 in one month' - Ifeanyi Ubah

Billionaire business man and Chairman of Capital oil, Ifeanyi Ubah, says if given the chance, he can make the dollar return back to N200 within one month. Ubah said this during an Interview with Channels TV yesterday February 21st
"Look at the position of the Naira today. Some of us have ideas on how we can restore this. Do you know how many Bureau De Change people who food has been taken out of their families because of this?
If you say they are the ones causing it, then where are you today? It needs strategic management. It won’t take me one month, if you give me part of that consultancy, Naira would come back to 200. I can bet my life with it. Naira would come back to N200. If you call me for that consultancy, I would put Naira back to 200”he said

    1. Linda I thought you studied the English language in UNILAG, so why 'return back'? Ifeanyi why wait to be called for that consultancy, as you put it, before you offer to help your country? Were you called before you initiated and funded TAN?

This illiterate please retire to your hole your company has been acquired for non performance by AMCON and to make issues worse for you, me and you know your business as a petroleum products importer is finished the moment Dangote's refinery starts running because your so called ability to pump out 55million litres of petroleum products a day will only become useful when Nigeria starts exporting petroleum products. The strength of the naira will only ever be determined by how the amount of dollars available to satisfy the demand for dollars.

  41. Ifeanyi ubah is making a lot of sense here. Dollar was jx 245 and it skyrocketed to 400 in jx one month after emefiele clampdown on bdc's. He needs to heed to sanusi's advice on how to run this economy

  100. We don't have no comments, Linda. One old man in my town said, let the dove carry what it carries and let the market no buy am for am..when asked to explain in Ibo language he again said... "Ovu vuru ihe ovu, ahia azurulaya". You see, we have got the Bismark Rewane's, The Pat Utomi's and other sharp minds who are taking their explanations topically because, Nigeria was just caught in a jamm over a global matter rocking many nations as it were. Nigeria's crime is simple, we had not adequately prepared a strong baseline economic structure that hitherto addressed a simple export and import trade balancing. We deeply ran Trade in-balance (import driven receipts) and always looking at Government USD oil earnings to shore up the yearly incremental deficits. Until this is structurally and technically addressed we will continue to experience systemic imbalance (no inflow receipts)that can lead to a total failure. Let no man, proffer no magic or some palliative of sort (temporary relief), the answer will lie on mass economic mobilization and targeted empowerment. it will not entirely be guaranteed with devaluation or no devaluation argument, the real answer requires very direct approach and not rhetoric's, how can we reverse the systemic trade imbalance/deficits since oil dollars that had shielded us is falling globally. The solution can never be in the hands of a one month consultant-magician.

    Okey Okoro

  103. My bros Ifeanyi who was the sole importer of kerosene, with our own money, for his own pocket, selling at any price he wanted, and yet still owing AMCOM so much is talking about bringing Naira back to N200/$. Please tell him that he was part of the people that put us in this problem. Where did he get the money that he used to buy the wrappers he was throwing to the crowd from a moving trailer along Ikorodu road during the last campaign, or the dollars that were shared to students, musicians, youth, artistes, comedians and all during the last campaign.

Before all of you commentators forget how we got to this sorry state, Ifeanyi was a big part of those who not only squandered our income, they wasted what had been saved and, even mortgaged the meager income that would have come in the future all in a bid to win or buy a second term. If he was such an astute economist, he would have done something with what he got from that kerosene importation. But as God does not sleep, and is the case with every proceed of evil, the devil dug a deep hole in his pockets so the ill-gotten money all leaked out. He is now looking for Consultancy!
Well, this is not the regime of "anything goes" so my brother Ify, wait for your day at the courts, to account for the subsidies you claimed for the importation of kerosene.

Tribe, religion, ethnicity and short memory have blinded us in this country such that people who should be hiding their heads in shame are coming out to insult our intelligence!
