Chaos in YABATECH over death of a student (photos)

Students of Yaba College of Technology, protested heavily yesterday February 10th over the death of their colleague. According to a student who spoke with LIB, a student of HND 2, Department of Office Technology Management was rushed to the school's Medical Center on Tuesday night but they allege she was left unattended until she died around 2am. The student reportedly died two weeks to her exam. Angry students stormed the clinic, protesting violently, blaming her death on poor medical infrastructure and service.

 Poor facilities in the school...

This girl came abt 2:30pm n her complains which were headache n nausea, bt bcos she had not eaten since d previous 9t, she's was admitted, given IVFliud so dt injections could b administered before she could leave which was done. She left abt past 9pm bcos headache n nausea had gone. Only for her to return abt 12am pale I.e paper white. D medical centre saw dt they could not handle it n referred her to FMC Ebutte metta where she was asked to bring some money n people to donate blood which was arranged within minutes. On return from Ebutte metta, d medical center raised 10k n her church members raised 25k. D Dr n her church members ran to waec gate to give her d money n d ambulance returned to FMC with 35k. She was admitted n was attended to at FMC before she died at 1:20am. She has a FMC hospital card. Den people came up wit all sort of gist, d students even refused an autopsy b carried out before burial.

Its true ooo, the medical service for yabatech is very poor, even some student are always afraid to use the school medical, ordinary paracetamol they don't have and we paid #8000 for medical fees in each session and still if you go for medical service they don't have drugs to give student for use.
