BBOG to march to Villa to demand for the release of Chibok girls

The advocacy group for the release of the Chibok girls, Bring Back Our Girls Group BBOG, will be matching to the Presidential villa on Jan. 14th to continue their demand for the release of the Chibok girls. Leader of the group and former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, while speaking at the group's daily sit-out in Abuja yesterday January 6th, said the need for the march is born out of the recent remarks made by President Buhari during his media chat that the Nigerian govt has no credible intelligence about the Chibok girls.

“After our meeting with the President, we had promised not to disperse but continue to meet until the girls are back. But the feed back we got from the government, did not encourage us. It kept saying that there was no credible intelligence about the girls. On January 14, 2016, we will walk all the way to the Villa and we will remind the president of the promise he made in the Villa during our meeting with him and also during his inauguration and every time he spoke about our Chibok girls. We will remind him that if there is anybody that will be uncomfortable that the girls are not yet rescued, it should be him,” she said

  7. This is what happens when a hypocrite woman Ezekweiali does not get political appointment not even minister of state for all her efforts in driving the propagansa that got Buhari into power. BBOG that lost its voice in hope that the hypocrite Ezekwesili would get a ministerial appointment is back because she lost out. At least this hypocrite Ezekwesili has managed to fool some international people who want to give her an award at this year's Davos for her Chibok girls fight. Hahahaha.

Let's all wake up and embrace reality pls.

  60. Ohhhhhhhh!!! We need ds story to come to an end already. Either tell us the girls have been found, or they were never missing or (God forbid) they are dead. Its not easy to hold 200+ girls against their will for this long a period. Tell us the truth.

  124. I took my time to read every statement and I'm shocked by most of the comments here. No wonder Nigeria is so pathetic! How many years do you think it took for the abolition of black enslavement? What about Nigerian independence or the end of black segregation in US and apartheid in S.A? Were the activists doing these campaigns for political compensation or human dignity?

Most of you commenting are so poor in morals that you imagine Oby, a world bank VP and a world recognised honorary fellow would be soliciting for government appointments through the BBOG campaign. Has it occurred to you lot that she may have been approached for appointment but turned it down?

Do you want to know why she is sacrificing her time, effort, money, and reputation for people in the North, some whom may have killed her townspeople and fellow Christians in the Northern pogroms and Nigerian civil war and subsequent riots? I'll tell you why. It's, because she understands what it means to be a Christian mother. She understands and obeys the command of Jesus that whatsoever we do to the least person, we do to Him. She understands and obeys the command that we are to love others as we love ourselves. If the tables were turned, and her own daughters or sons were captured by a terrorist group like BH, she would want someone to use their influence to help her. That's why she is doing this. Her reward will come from the Most High God, not from Buhari or even immature Nigerians.

May God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth, continue to sustain her with courage and dignity. She is a shining example to all people, especially women. Because of people like her, I have hope that God will help Nigeria and not punish us as we deserve.
