Story-Theatre with Grandma Wura

Proud Africa Roots presents "Story-Theatre with Grandma Wura", an adventure of African tales with drama, music and dance performed live on stage for the family and especially our children on Wednesday 23rd of December 2015. Venue: The Real Place, 3 Afisman Drive, off Anifowoshe street, Ikeja Lagos, Time: 11am - 2pm (prompt)...

This event (a first of it's kind children musical theatre) titled "I Wish I Wish" is a story about a little girl (Nkechi) who wished she was an ant. Narrated by Grandma Wura - a senior citizen who has devoted her life to raising a new generation of leaders through traditional story telling. Original story by Patrick Edwards, directed by the veteran director Israel Eboh and choreography by dance guru Uche Onah with amazing original songs by Patrick Edwards (Uncle P) - the multi instrumentalist. It promises to be a fantastic fun filled learning event for the whole family.

Come see the magnificent forest set, ants, trees and animals live on stage. Let's create a memorable time for you & the kids this Yule tide season.
It's original, its African...It's inspiring!

There are tons of gifts for the children and product showcase by Deere Clothing an African children’s clothing line.
This event is a Back2MyRoots initiative specially created to raise new a generation of future leaders equipped with the right values for leadership. Our goal is to impart children and teenagers with virtues such as service, integrity, hard work, team work, tolerance and love.
