Court of Appeal nullifies AkwaIbom governor's election

The court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has nullified the election of the state Governor Emmanuel Udom. The five-man jury this afternoon upheld the petition of the APC candidate in the April 11th election Umana Umana who argued that the election of Governor Udom of the People’s Democratic Party did not conform to the electoral act. The court ordered a fresh election to be conducted within 90 days.

  53. Oh Abasi Mbok. Take absolute control. Why are Most of you are critiquing the Court of Appeal?, i think that Udom and his cohorts are unhappy about this they should go to the apex court. However, with that said,I wish the courts could take into consideration the number of casualties they are setting these states up for. I think the cost should be weighed against the benefits of a re-election,the waste of resources and impending waste of valuable lives. Lord have mercy. Hopefully, this will end well. ..God please protect everyone in the south south.

We do not want anything that's attached to or related to Buhari in our states.
In democracy, majority carries the votes, and the majority of southerners are PDP supporters.
We will stand and defend our mandate, from Bayelsa to Rivers State, to Akwa-ibom.
