Photos: Gov. Wike, Kanu, attend Super Eagles vs Swaziland match in PH

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike and Nigerian football legend Kanu Nwankwo were at the Super Eagles World Cup Qualifier match against Swaziland at the Adokiye Amasiemaka Stadium in Port Harcourt yesterday to cheer the Nigerian team.

After the match which the Super Eagles won 2-0, Wike redeemed his pledge of $40000 to the team for scoring two goals in the crucial World Cup Qualifier. Continue to see more photos

    It is sad and the height of corruption for any governor for that matter to spend money that was never budgeted for in this very difficult time.Let us even assume it was his personal money which even makes it worse because no hard working person would give out about N10M of his hard earned cash. This is the same governor that could not afford to pay players salary in Sharks.I doubt if those guys will ever get their pay.As long as our people refuse to ask their leaders questions on how they are managing their resources, they will continue to wallow in poverty while these leaders and their families enjoy the best life has to offer.
