Photo: Faleke picks late Prince Abubaka Audu's son as his deputy

APC Deputy Governorship candidate in the Kogi state November 21st governorship election, James Abiodun Faleke says he's picked late Audu Abubakar's son, Mohammed to be his deputy governor once he is declared governor by INEC. Faleke said this while speaking to some of his supporters who had gathered at the home of Late Prince Audu in Kogi this morning. He is pictured above with Abubakar Audu's son, Mohammed.

Faleke is calling for the cancellation of the supplementary election which is being planned by INEC this Saturday December 5th. INEC had declared the November 21st inconclusive and ordered a supplementary election by December 5th. This has caused a division in APC as the party has refused to field Faleke as its candidate for the supplementary election.

Yahaya Bello who came second in the party's governorship primary that produced Audu Abubakar, has been asked to replace Audu in the supplementary election, a decision Faleke is against.

  14. a better option for this Faleke is to go along with Yahaya Bello and later have him (Yahaya Bello) impeached by the State Assembly and sworn in as the Governor. INEC cannot declare him Governor cos he was never a candidate for the election. he seems to be asking for too much

  21. For those of us who believed APP as a party was a better alternative this illegality & show of shame is an embarrassment and it must stop; how come Faleke is "good enough" as a deputy but not as governor? Pls let commonsense prevail.
