Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, today appointed retired
Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Chris Olakpe as the new
Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority
(LASTMA). His wealth of experience reportedly recommended him for the
job.
His appointment, according to a statement signed by the
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Habib Aruna, 'is in response
to the consistent complaints by the public on the situation of traffic
on the streets of Lagos.'

Retired inspector general of police? Thought he just retired already, why taking up another apointment, they are just running the govt like there family business; as long as you know somebody, that somebody, that know somebody...the point am laying my emphasis on is give new, fresh, young, intelligent people the chance, not just one retired police coming back as a para-military, the begining of LASTMA going from worst to worstest.
