The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has declared wanted the former Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms in Nigeria, Abdulrasheed Maina over his role in a fraudulent biometric contract allegedly undertaken through him, a former Head of Service Steve Oronsaye and two others while he was in office as well his alleged stealing of N2 billion from the Pension fund.
A statement by EFCC says Miana who was charged to court in July this year, has remained elusive to EFCC officials since the day he was charged before the court. He has refused to appear before the court for hearing on the matter. EFCC is asking the public to help fish out Maina so he can answer to the various allegations.

ReplyDeleteThis Maina guy is a very clever criminal! He is currently hibernating in Dubai. Please, he should be asked how he is able to afford living in Dubai for so long - a Deputy Director in the Civil Service of the Federation. How much is a Deputy Director's annual remuneration?
ReplyDeleteHe knows he is a very corrupt human being and only fleeing from prosecution and jail term. The billions of naira of public pension funds he misappropriated and shared with the PDP regime for the 2011 elections must surely be accounted for - the curses of our retired and old parents would forever be on the heads and generations of all past, present and future corrupt public service holders, for ever and ever. Amen.
EFCC Should provide hard evidence against him to avoid been released in the case of previous allegations and declarations.
ReplyDeletesince 2013, he has refused to join other in court

EFCC should come out and say the truth on this matter. It is only a competent court of law that can declare a man wanted. Some salient we should ask EFCC -
ReplyDelete1. Did EFCC invite Maina for questioning or interrogation before declaring him wanted and a fugitive as described by the EFCC PRO this morning on radio?
2. If according to EFCC that Maina was charged to court in July and didn't appear in court, why wait till November to declare him wanted and a fugitive?
3. How court the charge sheet did not have Maina's name on it and yet, you accuse him of not appearing in court?
Please, in the spirit of CHANGE, EFCC should show integrity, transparency, honesty and fairness in the operations.
Nigerians are no fool.
JUST MAKING COMMON SENSE
