A former Minister of Education, Igwe Aja-Nwachukwu, who served under former president Umaru Musa Yar'Adua's administration has died at the age of 63. Family sources say he died on November 17th while receiving treatment for an undisclosed ailment at an Israeli hospital.
Aja-Nwachuku, a native of Okposi in Ebonyi State, was born in 1952 and appointed minister of education in 2007. His father was Nigeria’s first minister of education.
