We won’t beg Enyeama to return to Super Eagles - NFF

Spokesperson of the Nigeria Football Federation Ademola Olajire says the football governing body has no plans to persuade goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama to return the Super Eagles. Olajire was quoted by NAN yesterday as saying;
"We heard about his quitting the national team on his Instagram page. If somebody says he is retiring from the national team, what are we going to do, to beg him? We don’t know if he is leaving the national team because of his quarrel with the coach. He just wrote on his Intagram page that he was leaving the national team. So, why should we be finding out whether he left because of the rift? The player has gone out of the camp, what do you want us to do. He has left the camp and he did not tell anybody that he was leaving." he said

  14. Yes ofcourse you can't beg him to return...He is one man and NFF is a national team trying to hold up their ego..but truth be told Oliseh has messed up by his poor managerial skills

    ReplyDelete
  15. Why is the spokesman sounding as if he has an axe to grind with Enyeama??? Enyeama may be wrong to have quit on Instagram instead of serving the NFF notice but then the NFF have always been known for not treating the players right.This statement reeks of beef

  21. NFF is very ungrateful and unappreciative. So that's all they have to say. Eyeama doesn't deserve this from a country he served so well. Quite sad.

    Olajire is now saying if he want to quit he should quit.

    For me, Enyeama's decision to resign on instagram as a result of the rift was irrational.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Nigeria has a long way to go. Respect towards other person's feelings is key. Vincent Enyeama has his reasons for resigning. We should always put ourselves in others people's shoes before judging. NFF is being insensitive.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oga Vin if this is how it happened, then you went about it the wrong way. You would have told the concerned officials at least for telling sake

  69. Is not a good thing to say after many years of services to the country..they should still talk to him,after was if he still desire to leave then go good for him.

  81. I don't support Enyeama leaving the way he did, but for the fact that he did a good job as a goal keeper should be enough reason to find out why he left. Saying its not your business as the NFF body n representing Nigerian football is totally inappropriate. They should find out why Enyeama left! If its something that can be fixed, then fix it. If its not then it was nice having him on the team, at least you did your part by finding out. NFF is very irresponsible for the way they handled this. They're better ways to handle issues like this.
