Okorocha, Oshiomole say they will not declare their assets publicly

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and his Edo state counterpart, Adams Oshiomole say they will not be following in the footsteps of President Buhari in declaring their assets publicly. Speaking with Punch through his chief press secretary Sam Onwuamado, Governor Okorocha said declaration of assets was an individual thing and that no governor is mandated to do so by law..
"This is an individual thing. Governor Okorocha believes he is a second term governor. He is not a new governor that should be declaring assets. Meanwhile there is no law that says governors should declare their assets. When former president Jonathan was in power, who talked about declaration of assets? What president Buhari has done is a good thing but it is not mandatory"he said
On his part, Oshiomole who also spoke through his media aide, Kassim Afegbua, said it was not enshrined in the constitution that it was mandatory for him to declare his assets
"My governor has said while it is constitutional for public office holders to declare their assets making it public is not a matter enshrined in the 1999 constitution. Every public officer is bound to declare but the idea of making it public is not in the constitution"he said

  28. Oshiomole MUST DECLARE HIS ASSETS OR LEAVE THE POSITION. YOU THINK WE DONT KNOW THAT YOUR WIFE IS IN IT WITH YOU FOR THE BOUNTY OF EDO STATE THAT YOU HAVE CORNERED FOR YOUR WRETCHED QUASIMODO SELF? YOU WILL DECLARE YOURSELF AND EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ACQUIRED SINCE YOUR KHAKI DAYS AND SHOW US HOW YOU ACQUIRED THEM. GOD WILL UNCOVER YOUR ARSE BY ALL MEANS. YOU. WILL. DECLARE. YOUR. ASSETS. OR GOD WILL SEND HIS WIND TO BLOW IT OPEN AGAINST YOUR WILL. WE STILL SERVE A GOD THAT HEARS, SEES AND SPEAKS AND ABHORS INJUSTICE, THIEVERY AND DECEIT. NOT A BAAL. OUR GOD WILL UNCOVER YOU.

  63. Yet the stupid APC had the Temerity to ask the people's gov, Gov Fayose to declare his assets. What a big shame to the party that deceived Nigerians into believing that they would be agent of change. The fact is that APC is an offshoot of the PDP, disgruntled members of PDP that went to form another party because they were being sidelined

Now I know why OBJ said back then "he gave us a small thief #Ohakim but we said we wanted a big thief #Rochas!" Rochas is wicked n selfish, ekwensu odu green.....Na only baba God go save us for his tenure. Buhari d tym has come to prove u are really not partial. #I'm watching y'all....
