I have declared my assets to the relevant authorities, I don't need to make it public - Wike

Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike says he has declared his assets to the relevant authorities and is not compelled to make it public. Speaking through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Sir Opunabo Inko-Tariah, Wike said what is important in asset declaration is the sincerity behind it ...

"The governor has declared his assets and this is exactly what he told newsmen during the tour of his administration’s projects. There is no law compelling him to make his declaration public. He has declared his assets and the declaration was made to the relevant authority. Let me also say that it is not just about asset declaration; it has to do with the sincerity of the person because some may over-declare when they want to steal in future. So, they declare to accommodate the theft in future.
Some may also declare for whatever reason; maybe they have held public offices in the past and they don’t want people to know that they have stolen money. So, people will declare; it is not all about the declaration of assets. What is crucial is the sincerity of the person declaring and you are supposed to declare when you get out of office. But the truth is that if you are a governor or a minister, what matters is the delivery of the dividends of democracy. That is what is important and it is not about what you declare and how much you declare.” Wike said

  8. Wike only God will judge you and Rssda. Our students have been deported from the UK last month and rssda even bought ticket for them tk return home without finishing their studies.

Now some of them in Canada (University of Manitoba) will be facing the same thing soon. School has refused to allow them take classes because of tuition debt. And if they are not enrolled, they are also not eligible to work at all.
This means the students will be asked to leave Canada while in their 3rd year.

What sort of shame, disgrace and crumbling of peoples future is Rivers State, Past and Present Governor, and Rssda planning on these students.
I know most of them having over 4.0 out of 4.5 cgpa (while almost all courses an A is 80 or 86 -95%, and A+ is 90 or 96%) and they still stidy hard, get high cgpa's and Deans list and other awards. No allowance for 10months and no payment of tuition.

You all have children and they will suffer the same pqin that you have brought on those you sent abroad to study. Using the state fund to enrich yourselves is definitely going to make Mother Earth speak against y'all and your children too.

Remember, "what goes around, comes around"
"The evil that men do live with them not after them anymore"

Nemesis and posterity and kama will defo take its cause.

Wike was busy claiming to have released funds to settle the scholars in diaspora, meanwhile some were deported from the UK last month woth completing their studies. Their parents are tax payers, pensioner and have served the state. Those who got the scholarship on merit are the ones performing excellently but suffering because of the evil of rssda and Rivers State. Those who got in through favouritism still have their rich dads to pay their bills. Please rescue these scholars from this evil treatment, doldrums and don't allow their academic pursuits to be seen ebbing and smouldering into nothingness.

    Chai!!! Uwabukonye!!!

This is the most nefarious treatment any state can give to its indigenes.

  48. Mr Governor you just shot yourself in the foot. Quite pursuing Amechi because it's now obvious you're not better than he is. If you're that sincere, declare your assets publicly to the people who voted you into office and forget this gibberish.

  50. All of U saying his Assets must be declared publicly shuld first ask urself wat exactly is. Written in d constitution of Nigeria about asset declaration...Constitutionally Assets are meant to be declared to Code of Conduct Burea.....D only reason why President $ Vice did theirs publicly was simply Because during their Election campaigns they made dat as a promise to Nigerians Voluntarily...Of which we all saw d Drama dat came up. Wth dat...no there person is compelled to declare assets publiclyby constitution except by choice..And constitutionally where they hav declared these assets the Institution shuld be d one responsible to make it available to d Ordinary Citizens (Meaning if u want to knw what assets any public holder has Before He/She Assumed Office u are free to)...Dat is d law...Absolutely there is nothing wrong wth wat Gov Wike has done cuz dat wasn't contained in his campaign promise as to President and Vice president.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think it should become a public thing because we do not trust the Integrity of even the people they declare your assets to. Come on, this is Nigeria where everything has been possible as far as corruption is concerned...
