Eggs soup in CRUTECH, Calabar (photos)

A LIB reader who visited the Cross River University of Technology, Calabar, student hostel sent this in
Linda, this is what CRUTECH students take as breakfast. I visited their hostel recently and i met these guys who used N40.00 (forty naira only) to cook soup. It was just an egg, salt and maggi.and they got a pot of soup and a very big bowel of eba which they ate in joyous mood. Though the guys did not permit me to take their pictures but they were proud to say that the meal is a balance diet
When i asked them to tell me what made the egg soup a balanced diet, one of them started listing the ingredients such as
water-1
Egg-Protein
Salt
Maggi
Palm oil
Onions
Pepper
Please LIBs does these ingredients make up a balanced diet?

  26. Well the photographer is absolutely insane to hve taken such pictures, students life is more of a hustling affair, they had rather make due with what they have than steal, I am a proud crutite, and an Alumni, I had my moments back then in school, when the days were not rosy, but I am glad today, cause it paid off.

    1. Exactly, that's school life. A humble begining yields great result. Do you prefer stealing to eat cow tail while in school and advancing to criminal level with a short life to this humble begining to just fill your tommy so you could concentrate in your studies that'll bring you good life? I used to trek from Marian to Ekpo Abasi and back some times to school and by the grace of God, i'm now working with a ride to work, can now concentrate on balanced diet if I wish. Balanced diet while a student? Abeg, it's God that protects humble & serious students jor.
