3-week old baby, 3 children, parents & a grandmother burnt to death in Lagos

A 3-week old baby, three children, their parents and their grand mother were all burnt to death yesterday in a fire outbreak that broke out at their home located at Micheal Ogun street in the Lawanson area of Lagos state. One of the daughters of the family was also badly burnt but survived the incident and is currently receiving medical attention at the Gbagada General hospital.

It is believed that the family members could not escape as the burglaries in their house became too hot they couldn't touch them. So sad. May their soul rest in peace Amen.

  21. So pathetic. My brother(their neighbour) if not God that woke him up to read would have been affected. He was the one that alerted the neighbourhood but no access and before d fire service could come it was already late.

  29. This is really really heart wrenching, My God!! My heart bled when I saw it on the news yesterday. We need God's protection and also be more prayerful. Too many tragedies happening everywhere and it's sad. Just d day b4, d life of a promising female undergraduate was cut short. Deliver your children from evil lord and grand d souls of the deceased eternal rest. Also console their families and loved ones. Then on a serious note, @anon 6:13, so u arranged your phalanges to type dat thing? Did u read the headline at all? What has Linda's going back to school, have to do with a family of 7 wiped off by fire?? Too many. Saddists everywhere! Tufiakwa

  31. Looks like the general public should be more educated on this topic. May God have mercy... People lock their doors at night with bolt, padlocks, burglary proofs, etc, etc, and then they are inside bedroom, you need to open like four doors plus the burglary proofs to get to them, in cases of fire outbreak where they get trapped, rescuing them would take longer time. Is not their fault, they are thinking Security from armed robbers, etc. It is well.

I think everyone building house should have emergency exit in mind...#Think SAFETY.

GOD IS OUR SAFETY by the way..
