INEC office in Abia burnt down

The office of the Independent National Electoral Commission at Obingwa Local Government of Abia state was razed today August 2nd by some hoodlums. Residents of the community say the fire outbreak was politically motivated as suspected political thugs armed with knives, cutlasses and guns stormed the local government before setting the electoral office on fire. This action comes ahead of the August 10th date fixed for the commencement of the state election tribunal. Results from the local government is among many issues that is strongly being contested.

  20. Okezie Ikpeazu's hand work. Stolen mandate! Clear mind fears no accusation. It was so clear that Apga Alex Otti won, and PDP rigged everythg especially from this LGA that was burnt. The wicked shall not go unpunish. The world is watching and seeing what PDP is doing in the state as if they are God. Okezie is nothing but an old wine in a new bottle.

  26. This is no accident especially when either party (APGA and PDP) is at the verge of losing the governorship ticket. The situation is terrible and chaotic. The masses need change because Abia is still the only state yet to benefit dividend of democracy. (Still living in bondage).
