Fashola spent N139million on two boreholes - Lagos Government

Another accusation against former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola. According to a report by Punch, the Lagos State Government is accusing Fashola of spending N139million on the drilling of two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja. Report below...
The project was completed by Deux Projects Limited according to a report published by the state government. The report, which was part of the awarded contracts by the Lagos State Tenders Board in 2013, was seen on the website of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency.
In the same year, N640m was spent by the Fashola administration for the reconstruction of a car park and other associated works at the Lagos House, Marina. The report stated that the N640m contract was given to Julius Berger Plc as part of phase two of the reconstruction of Lagos House where Fashola lived during his eight years in government.
In the same year, N300m was spent on the relocation of cables belonging to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. The contract was awarded to Deux Projects Limited.
According to the report, the former governor also spent N175m to replace the railings of a pedestrian bridge on Carter Bridge from Ido to Idumota with concrete railings. The contract was awarded to A Abicon Engineering Limited.
According to the report, N220m was spent on the facility management of the Lagos State University College of Medicine. The contract was awarded to Deux Projects Limited.
The former governor, according to the report, spent N619m on surface repair on Ajara-Erekiti-Iragon-Ikoga Road in Badagry Local Government.
According to the report, Fashola spent N1.2bn on the construction of an unidentified multi-storey building in Onikan, Lagos.
The former governor was also said to have spent N1.6bn on the construction of a 48-bedroom hotel at Lagos State VIP Chalets, Badagry.
About N510m was spent on the remodelling and equipping of the official residence of the state’s Chief Judge at 4 Thompson Avenue, Ikoyi, Lagos, according to the report.
About N165m was spent on the construction of an 18-classroom block at Ajara Senior Grammar School, Ajara Badagry. The same amount was also spent on an 18-block classroom at Community Senior/Junior Secondary School, Bayeku, Ikorodu.

You look like a joke already and now you are acting like one.I know you don't have the guts to stand up to your benefactor to advise him to stand down on this path he's towed as per BRF,its a pity cos you are all going to get buried eventually.Moving on though, kindly handover all the evidence to the appropriate agency and let them commence investigations and prosecution of BRF if need be.I'm aware the reason for this is so the guy doesn't get a ministerial post,I like BRF but if he's guilty,he should be charged.Pity its coming from a dumb ass like Ambode.

That said, when are you going to get on with your job.we didn't have this spate of armed robbery and lawlessness in Lagos when BRF was governor.I'm so glad I didn't vote for you though I voted PMB.

  33. To the average Nigerians on the streets, ex-Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola was the best State Governor of his era. Recent revelations about his outlandish expenditure profile is extremely damning. More so because this man was one of the worst Jonathan traducers. Wow, my Princess! Thank you. Please continue to rub their corrupt noses in the mud. Last time it was President Buhari and his unqualified Permanent Secretary who advertised their ignorance and incompetence to the whole world when they accused you of diverting Chinese loan for Kano railways to other purposes. Imagine the President of a whole country not knowing how foreign loans are disbursed and shooting his mouth carelessly without waiting to be properly briefed. That tomfoolery set the whole Diplomatic Community rocking with laughter. Now it is Bola Tinubu, Nasir E-Ruffai and their NOTORIOUS SaharaReporters who shamefully displayed how they fabricate and concoct their smear campaign hatchet jobs. Imagine using plagiarized materials to fabricate a story converting phantasmagoria into reality. Linda please play the song: "The harder they come the Harder they fall" by Jimmy Cliff for Adams Oshiomhole and his ilks. Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!!

  79. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who presently collects over 20% of the
Lagos IGI through Babatunde Fowler, is moving to the Federal till with the
recent appointment of Fowler as the Chairman of FIRS. Expect your VAT
and Company Taxes to increase with Asiwaju tapping up to 25%.
Tinubu holds South West to ransom with all the
inflated juicy contracts from the APC states, as he has succeeded in buying Lagos
State government properties, using government funds after blackmailing Fashola
into submission, with threats of impeachment. His rent seeking and mass acquisition of properties strategies has made properties to rise above the roof in Lagos state.
According to the AIT documentary that he is yet to contest
directly, Tinubu owns the Oriental Hotel, Falomo Shopping Complex, First Nation
Airline, Private Jets, Lekki Concession Company, Apapa Amusement Park, the
Renaissance Hotel, the Radio Continental, the TV Continental, the Nation
Newspaper, Ikeja Shopping Mall, Alpha Beta (IGR collectors), ownership of
Tejuoso Market, School of Nursing & NNPC buildings, N4B property located at
the Queens Drive, Lagos and other choice properties worth billions of naira
located within and beyond Lagos State allegedly acquired and owned illicitly by
    referenced Tinubu Ahmed.
So whenever someone in Lagos begins to wonder where their
4th mainland bridge went, or what was the fate of the pipe-borne water project,
or even where the schools and hospitals had vanished to, there is a silence
that contains it all. The largest landlord in Lagos has done as he has pleased,
and the rest of the state just has to deal with it. For instance: Number 4,
Oyinkan Abayomi (formerly Queens) Drive, Ikoyi: A 5-bedroom detached house on
one acre of land which was originally the Lagos State Governor’s guest house since
1979, but which now belongs to Tinubu.
Tinubu’s residence at 26 Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi was
initially falsely presented as Oando Plc Guest House. Later, he purportedly
bought it from Oando, and used public funds to rebuild and renovate it. The property is worth over
N600 million. The annex of the Lagos State Guest House in Asokoro, Abuja
was bought by the State Government in 2006 for N450 million and transferred to
    him after Tinubu left office.
The 250-hectare land valued at about N35billion and
strategically located at the Ajah junction on Lekki Road was initially meant
for a General Hospital for the people of Eti-Osa Local Government but was
stolen by Tinubu and handed over to Trojan Estate Ltd – a company owned by Deji
and Wale Tinubu – to develop as Royal Garden Housing Estate at the expense

    ReplyDelete
  80. and Wale Tinubu – to develop as Royal Garden Housing Estate at the expense of the taxpayers of Lagos.
The 1,000 hectares of land valued at about N75billion
located at Lakowe near Abijo at Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and given to Lekki
Concession Company (LCC) which is partly- owned by Tinubu and being developed
as golf course and housing estate by ARM as ADIVA project.
The prime land of 157 hectares with 2.5km of Atlantic
beachfront valued at about N10billion and stolen by Tinubu from the communities
of Siriwon, Igbekodo, Apakin, etc in Ibeju-Lekki LG and given to Ibukun Fakeye
    – his crony.
The 14-hectare Parkview Ikoyi Estate foreshore land
reclaimed by Lagos State Government is now owned by Bola Tinubu. He also allocated to himself the former Strabag yard beside the Lagos State
Secretariat at Alausa, Ikeja that is presently known as Shoprite. This is public property brazenly stolen and now owned by Tinubu.
The choice property at Lekki-Epe road on which he built and
owns the multi-billion Naira Oriental Hotel and the extension of multi-storey
car park beside it. Also, the multi-level recreation centre by Mobil in Oniru
Estate on Lekki-Epe road jointly owned with ARM and Tunji Olowolafe. All these
assets valued at over N25billion were obtained without paying a kobo to the
    Lagos State Government.
Tinubu sold the following prime Lagos properties to a front – Prince Dipo Eludoyin at very ridiculous prices:The 3.8-hectare of land of Lagos State Fisheries office beside the Institute of Oceanography valued at N3billion.The fishery landing jetty at Badore (where the Ilubirin fishermen were to be relocated) valued at N500million. The entire Ogudu foreshore scheme initially earmarked for a low-cost housing scheme valued at N5billion.The Ilubinrin housing estate (which used to house Lagos civil servants and judges up till 2007) valued at N2.5billion.The former Julius Berger yard at Oko Orisan, Epe valued at
    N450million.
Tinubu raised a loan of N4.7billion on Eko Akete project for
which nothing was achieved before he turned around to sell the property to Chagouri & Chagouri and Hitech Construction Ltd .Tinubu applied to personally purchase the Federal Secretariat building while in office. When he couldn’t get to buy it, he
directed Fashola to stop the eventual owner of the complex to develop it. The
    complex is presently wasting away.
It took several months of horse trading and underhand
payments before Fashola could allow the new owners of 1004 flats to redevelop
the complex. Several other buyers of Federal Government properties and
developers of properties in Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Government Reservation

    ReplyDelete
  81. Area Ikeja were forced to succumb to the outrageous demands of Tinubu,
This is a major economic strangulation of property developers and has contributed largely to the skyrocketing rent in Ikoyi, VI, Lekki axis and properties all over Lagos State.
Tinubu converted all the plots of land where Lagos
Polytechnic was located at Ikosi near the old toll gate. He chased away the
students and went ahead to acquire the choice plots to himself, his
cronies and political associates. The headquarters of Television Continental
(TVC), which is owned by him, is located there. He deprived the youths of Lagos
of decent education because of his greed.
Tinubu solely sold the prime land on Aboyade Cole, Victoria
Island which was recovered from some allotees, to UACN Properties Plc. The
amount of proceeds was shrouded in secrecy. Eludoyin, fronting for Tinubu,
built the estate directly opposite Goshen Beach Estate in Lekki area.
Tinubu’s wife, Remi Tinubu, built the massive New Era
Foundation youth camp at the junction of Eleko, with Lagos State funds and Tinubu owns the Fara Park Estate and the Beach Wood Estate both in Lekki.
The Critical Care unit at LASUTH) in Ikeja, built and equipped with state funds, is
now owned personally by Tinubu. He has put one Dr. Sikiru Tinubu,to run the outfit. The unit charges its users exorbitantly and most
Lagosians can hardly afford to pay its high charges. Much of the revenue is
derived from fees paid by the State Government for patients referred there by
    its General Hospitals.
Several prominent Nigerians in the judiciary, police, INEC,
and other sensitive agencies have obtained prime land from former Governor
Tinubu over the years without paying a kobo. Gbenga Ashafa, now a Senator, and
Mrs. Awofisayo were the conduits through which these acts were being
perpetrated. Both were also personally involved in various dubious land
transactions on their own.Prime land and properties have been used to pay off public
officials who are personally close to Tinubu for “jobs well done” or for being
privy to sensitive information, notably:Dele Alake, Rauf Aregbesola, Muiz Banire, Yemi Cardoso and Wale Edun,

  97. Na waoooo, these accusations are getting too much by the day.
I think Tinubu and Ambode are behind all these just to tarnish Fashola's image.

Mr Fashola, i think it's high time you stand up and fight.... you should not go down alone.... Tinubu should go down with you afterall his name is not Lagos state.

Tinubu doesn't want any other God father in Lagos state so his powers in Lagos state will not be shared. His target is to make Fashola a nobody, even on Federal level.

Mr Ambode, hope you are learninbg from all these dramas. If you like, make yourself a tool to be used to fight Fashola. Your own time is coming in the nxt 8 yrs. - Dr Ugo

If they have issues with Fashola, let them take him to EFCC rather than making noise.what they don't know is that it will be very hard to change people's mind against Fashola with this there cheap tactics. Let him keep parading himself as Godfather, one day , all his evil doings will catch up with him. Stupid people.

  116. This man Fashola spent better part of his last two years in office vilifying GEJ not knowing that he is worst off. Time will tell what almost all public officers dealt on Nigeria masses. He is now saying that an accused is innocent until proven guilty but he passed guilty judgement on GEJ and his men even before accusing them.

  118. When PDP called for the probe of Tinubu and Fashola last week, APC blasted them. Few days on LASG is releasing more details of financial impropriety by Fashola. This clearly shows there is an orchestrated attempt to discredit him in the court of Public opinion. Ambode be careful cos 4 or 8years is but a short time.

  124. Akin wunmi Ambode us only doing the bidding of his master. He had to resign his post under Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola because he embezzled 2 billion naira which Fashola asked him to pay back. He pretended as if all was well during the election, whilst Fashola did all the campaign for him not knowing that he had venom on the inside if him.
Since he became governor all he has done is go on a rampage of revenge against all those that he claims to have wronged him. One of the first people he came again st was a police man who worked at the government office at Alausa. There was a day Ambode went to see governor Fashola while he was leaving the governor called him back and he did not want to go back however this police mandatory who was only doing his job directed him back politely, to the governor's office. Years went by fast forward to 2015 the first day Ambode resumed work as the governor the first person he asked to see was this policeman who he reminded of what happened and asked for him to be fired . There are various people who he has had gruges with at Alausa when he worked there almost all of them habe been demoted, or sacked. It is common knowledge at Alausa that if you had tunings with him in the past it is a case if resign voluntarily or be sacked or demoted by him and also be ridiculed. This is one of the reasons he sacked Fowler because when they worked together it was common knowledge that they did not get on every one knew it was a matter of time before Fowler was dealt with. This trend is still on going it is a matter of who is next. The way he played the fool during the elections shows how devious this man is.

  125. Akin wunmi Ambode is no presenting a clear picture of how these contracts were awarded. All this because Bola Tinubu does not want Babatunde Raji Fashola to be part of Buhari's cabinet. They have started with Fowler as well when they could not stop his appointment they came up with the allegations about his degree. Bola Tinubu is the planner, Akin wunmi Ambode is the hatchet man trying to stop Babatunde Raji Fashola, but they will never succeed because God is greater than them. When Tinubu starts demanding for 17 billion dollars from Akin wunmi Ambode the we shall see how he copes, as this is one of the reasons Bola Ahmed Tinubu is angry with BRF. Enough is enough with the lies and trumped up allegations . Buhari is not fooled nor is he blind he knows how Thiefnubu and his yes men fight dirty. Satan fell like lightening so will every strong man that has set themselves up like a rock saying Lagos and it's people will not make progress or that he/they will block or derail people 's destiny .

  126. When will the new Lagos State Government get down to serious work. All the roads are full of potholes, infrastructure such as the BRT buses and lanes are deteriorating, rural areas need connecting roads, etc. Please stop chasing Fashola who has achieved a great deal in Lagos and start making your own achievements, your four years has started countdown.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Fashola inherited huge debts when he took over the governing of Lagos State. Debts incurred by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, debts which he carried in to his own government. It is quite clear that some one some where is scared of BRF being in Buhari's cabinet. WHY

    ReplyDelete
  128. When Saraki became speak Tinubu sent an investigative team to UK and America to find out things with which they can increminate Bukola Saraki and get him in trouble with efcc. This is not hear say. This is how he fights like dirty pig. It is his way or no way at all.

  130. the question we should ask Tinubu and APC is that Why are they doing all these this time around. The answer is very simple, they are trying to block him by all means from becoming part of Buhari's cabinet. But what they don't know is that their tactics is very obvious and cheap. And I believe that it will be very hard for them to turn people's mind against Fashola. One day God will judge Tinubu and his agents.
