Presidency- Buhari to make 6000 appointments

In an interview with Sahara TV on Saturday, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, stated that Buhari would be fair to all. He also called for patience and  reassured Nigerians that the President still has over 6,000 appointments to make.
Buhari, who recently sacked the country’s service chiefs that served under former President Goodluck Jonathan and dissolved the boards of many Federal Government parastatals across the country, has been criticised for not constituting his cabinet and appointing people into various boards of parastatals.

The President has also being accused of allegedly favouring the North in the appointment he had made so far. But,
“I think President Muhammadu Buhari is sensitive to the diversity of this country. He has more than 6,000 appointments to make. Therefore, why would anybody use less than 10 appointments to judge the President on this matter? Again, it boils down to the lack of patience. This man is an experienced leader. Nigeria stands to gain from the accumulation of wisdom that he has garnered over his long life on earth. He has sworn to an oath that he’s a President of all.

“This government will make as many as 6,000 appointments. And he is bound, even if he doesn’t wish it, by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to reflect federal character.”

All we have been hearing in the last 2mths is "I will, I will" not I have. So much for a man who was running his mouth during the campaigns for election... very soon, some dumb persons will give him credit for a job he hasn't even done.

  26. Action speaks louder than words.
Promises have been made and promises are still popping while we have seen the steps taken so far.
I hope this is not America wonder.
This is the hour. This time, we are going to rely merely on actions not promises again.
Let's hope for equality and a better Nigeria.

  35. Get lost joor! why shouldn't we judge him? so far so good the major appointments has been going to the north. What more does he want to do.

My primary concern is that he should appoint those that are capable, loyal, patriots and people who would put the country first. Not ppl that are after their family's growth financially n otherwise.
Let the oath taken on the day of inception be their watchword.
Let us work together to build a unified, peaceful and A NATION (Nigeria our fatherland) we would be proud of anywhere and anytime.
Not minding if it's the north, south, east or west. Buh if of a truth, it's happened that he'd allowed sentiment to becloud his decision of appointing ministers, then I'll say it only a matter of time b4 Nemesis catches up with his government.

GOD BLESS, GUIDE, PROVIDE,MULTIPLY (all ramifications) & LEAD OUR LEADERS ARIGHT TO DO THE NEEDED EXPECTATIONS.
