Photos: Scene of fatal accident involving Benue medical student

Today, I told y'all about a medical student from Benue State University who died in an accident after he was withdrawn from medical school after spending 10 years there. Just got photos from the scene of the accident that killed him. The accident happened just a few kilometers from his house. He got the news of his withdrawal from the medical school two days ago and told his friends he no longer had any reason to live. He then drank a lot, drove at high speed without wearing his seat belt, entered a sharp bend and straight to a curvet and hit a passerby. He and the passerby died on the spot.     drinking on that day. He left a friends house just to drive home and get his flash drive. While me myt never know how d last moments in d car went,We do however know they were horrible and painful. Personally I think he was lost in thoughts...

Lessons should be learnt, if a student does not have the capability to cope, the school should have a way of dismissing the student early enough so that they can have time to find another path to follow career-wise. In a developed world the university should be sued but hey its Nigeria, they will act dramatic at the burial, eat rice and move on. May you find peace Dr.

    we pray and hope that someday, things move in the right direction cos its possible.what went wrong with advising such a student at yr 3 or 4 to seek an alternative?time wasted, resources all gone and then in the 10th year u are telling him he is expelled and certainly without proper counseling first. my heart goes out to the family for this great loss of time, resources and most importantly a dear son. may your death be the seed sown for the harvest of a better medical school in BSU and Nigeria

Of course I know how school can make people wanna commit suicide but I tried n I control mine. As the saying goes "everything works for a reason" he should have held on, now he killed someone.       if someone is performing very bad in academics...is it a crime to advise the person to try easier courses....so are they meant to lower their standard to meet up to a need of someone not performing?medicine is a course that deals with human beings? i am not a doctor but i believe no course should reduce their standard because some people are not performing well.there are other options mehn....easier courses...

His family has written an official statement that their son didn't commit suicide I don't know why it is so hard for you to take this down plus this boy lives in the same compound with me, we spoke before he stepped out, he was sad and depressed but not to the point of taking his life.
