Former Arsenal footballer Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, other friends pay tribute to Michael Adegbite

The fitness fanatic who had trials for Wolverhampton Wanderers in his youth and was a football coach at local Eastside United FC in Hackney was remembered by friends on social media.

Jay Emmanuel has this to say about his friend who was stabbed to death in Lackmore Road, Enfield last Sunday: “The way life works ain't fair, but you're in a better place so guide us and protect us to happiness and success. When will the youth of today change, taking people's lives is not cool.”

Another friend, @OfficialChip posted:
"RIP Benga Man. Another good bruda just stab and dead. Kmt. Praying for change. Condolences to your family bro.
From Lauren Richardson:
"This is heartbreaking, I had the pleasure of working with Michael, such a lovely guy still cannot believe it RIP
