Buhari appeals to APC House of rep members to resolve their crisis before tomorrow

President Buhari has appealed to APC members in the House of Representatives to put aside their differences and resolve their issues before tomorrow's plenary session. Speaking at a meeting which he convened earlier today, President Buhari insisted the party members in the lower chamber must respect the decision of the party regarding appointment of principal leaders in the house.

A source at the meeting which lasted for just 20 minutes, told Premium Times that President Buhari asked the members to maintain party discipline and follow their party's directive.

"He said he never wanted to interfere in the affairs of the Legislature, but he’s now forced to do so to maintain party discipline. The president said it is unacceptable for him to be in office under the APC, and the PDP would be allowed to dictate who occupies positions in an administration he heads. Buhari urged all members to look beyond themselves and consider the country and the platform under which they were elected.” the source said

  36. How about giving out carrots and sticks to deserving or undeserving NASS members? Merely, appealing to their consciences will probably, not work bcos it has long been sold to the devil. So, why not consider another option, albeit unpalatable, in order, to move towards the expected results? To do otherwise, is: goodcause4trouble

  37. "The president said it is unacceptable for him to be in office under the APC, and the PDP would be allowed to dictate who occupies positions in an administration he heads".
Just to clarify the above statement, didn't buhari say in his campaign that there wil be nothing like a ruling party? I dnt really seem to get the deal with apc and the winner takes all policy.

  38. I like what he said about PDP. All the PDP Wolves in APC clothing had better come out now and not wait to get caught cause we APC loyalists will deal with all of una
