Question of the day: Would you go ahead with that wedding if you know you'd die if you cheated?

Let me phrase this question in a simple manner. So, you're dating someone, you get engaged, start planning a wedding and they tell you that before your traditional/white wedding - you and your spouse will be taken to a shrine where you will swear an oat before the gods that you will die just a day after you cheat on your spouse. There's no going back; you cheat and you die the next day. How many of you will still go ahead with the wedding? Think very seriously before you answer...lol (especially the men)

    1. I am a woman and I would not go ahead not because I plan to cheat but it's evil. I wouldn't even let my husband swear to such,I don't want him to die and leave me because of a foolish shrine covenant. I don't wish death for a cheating husband, I'd rather leave him

  15. Because its a shrine, I wont swear but in the legal way or before God I would gladly swear IF divorce is allowed cos apart from infidelity, they are other factors that can break a marriage. Kyla

  16. I wont swear by anything. That doesnt mean i intend to cheat.I dont need any sort of proof to show how much i love my husband to be or how faithful i will be.The purest magic is in the heart

If its you am dating, I will cool down αи∂ if its over between us, we call it quits b4 I start poking my eyes elsewhere...... What am I looking for in another man that my man no get?
There's no justifiable reason for cheating, I hate ppl that are not honest in relationship or marriages, not like am a saint, aint no saint buh atimes, its good to do †Ñ’ξ right thing.... Just do †Ñ’ξ right thing

To answer ur question Linda, I wouldn't have any issue with going ahead with d wedding. Its better I file for divorce if we are no working again, than stay married to him αи∂ still cheat on him... Doesn't make sense at all

  21. This is actually very funny. But all the same, there is need to critically define "cheating" in the most unambiguous manner. This is because these so called deities (god) are so useless that they may misunderstand a common peck on the chick of a woman as cheating or worst still a suiting hug. So, I have to be careful with such oath. Linda take note.

  28. As a man, I will not accept such. Firstly, I'm a christian, going to the shrine is against the ambiance of the norms and value I subscribe to. Secondly why would I cheat on my wiife, where would I cheat that I won't meet. And I think you (linda) has always been scared of marriage, cos of fear of being cheated on and yes this post has everything to do with Toke makiinwa

    ReplyDelete
  29. NEVER! Which kind nonsense jazz is that! I can never marry into such a fetish family. My decision has nothing to do with if I would be faithful or not, but agreeing to go to dt shrine and into that marriage is a very big security risk. It means that anybody, including that your spouse, can poison you and claim that it is the shrine that killed you.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Linda, please don't take the oath. Everyone cheats. It is harmless as long as you do it safely ie with condom and you are not caught.

  45. Marriage is a sacred union many have entered without proper knowledge of what they are getting into.
The vows exchanged during the ceremony is binding on all parties involved. The reason people break this vow is because they don't see the immediate consequence. Delayed judgement is not justice denied.
For those that wish to enter this union called Marriage for the glam, please consider the consequences.
For those that enter the Union cause of wealth, please consider the consequences.
For those that enter cause of everyone's getting married, please don't enter into a union until you know what you want.
For the crowd pleaser, you case is a dissertation on its own.
