  7. Why act shocked? You have BH, ritualists, 419, kidnappings, armed robberies, bad road accidents, an unreliable power supply, noise pollution from all the generators. Folks are going on vacation to relax and recharge not stress themselves out. Nigeria is too stressful a place to travel to.

  24. But Nigeria has never been a "tourist" destination...ever. This is not a big deal. Worrying about this is just like getting worked up over foreigners choosing Jamaica or Mexico over the USA as a prefered vacation destination. Every country in Africa have what drives their economy and tourism isn't one of ours. And that is okay. Most people who go to the countries mentioned above are either going for the beaches or the wildlife...something we haven't really invested on in Nigeria. But like I said, its no big deal.

  25. Not surprised. Why should Nigeria be among when we are busy selling our potential tourist land to rich people and naming it Eko Atlantic City? Is it not a coastline that Dubai is making use of as a tourism spot?

  30. You post too much nonsense. Is Zambia, SA, Rwanda and Kenya in the West of Africa? And mind you, Sub-Saharan Africa is not the same as West Africa.

  32. Who cares? Those guys keep placing South Africa atop to make them feel they are actually superior to other 'blacks'...And who did the survey? Whites who are simply afraid of coming to "Infested Africa" but stays behind their computers and send online surveys. IT'S ALL BULL!

  34. Na wa for you o Linda. West Africa? They are talking about Sub Saharan as a whole. Apart from Cape Verde, there is no West African country on the list.

  35. But you guys are dumb sha, is South Africa in West Africa? Is Mauritius? And you laugh when whites say Africa is a country, you don't even know better.

  36. Surprised? Until insecurity is tackled (and im not referring to Boko in d north. Im referring to armed robbery and especially kidnap for ransom), why would tourists want to visit nigeria , unless they can move about like oil worker expats with security detail. Ghana is decades ahead of us in this regard. And i'm out!@babashegi

  43. Nigeria is definitely not ready for tourists. Do you want them to get killed(ebonyi insident), kidnapped or robbed. With our poor power supply, lack of fuel and bad roads. Plus where exactly will they go to? The decaying obudu cattle ranch or where. Please let's be realistic, Nigeria is not safe and have no tourist attraction. Even the beaches are getting sandfilled by the day causing serious flooding. Mchew.

  44. What do you expect when an incompetent woman is running the affairs of NTDC. This is a woman that went to Brazil & disgraced the nation by chewing MOU that she went into with someone. Anyways, change has come & we believe Buhari will make the change possible.
