APC insists on sanctioning Saraki, Dogara; says due process will be followed

The leadership of APC insists they will still sanction Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara and others who went against the party's wish in the just concluded National Assembly leadership elections.

While the party endorsed Senator Ahmed Lawan and Hon Femi Gbajabiamila for positions of Senate President and Speaker House of Representatives, APC said Senator Saraki and Hon Dogara went against their wish and contested for the elections and won with the support of PDP members.

Speaking with journalists after a meeting in Abuja yesterday June 11, the National Publicity secretary of the party, Lai Mohammed said the proposed sanctions on the "erring members" will follow due process

"The sanctions will follow due process. The party has made it clear that it is not happy with the outcome of the election".
He said the erring members will be sent a letter notifying them of their misconduct and then given an opportunity to respond.

Yorubas, good for you people, Buhari and the Hausas have played you people for a fool. You think Buhari is not in support with the drama at the chambers? It was strategically planned with Saraki to take over senate president in place of who Tinubu wants to install. He knew what will happen that was why he was saying it right from the beginning that he doesn't want to get involved with the senate president election. All you Yorubas can do is to fight the Igbos that have not done you any wrong. You people have been sold out if you don't know. The VP is only there as a puppet. Sit tight and watch as events unfold.

  6. Ofcourse they must be sanctioned to serve as deterrent to others.
When Atiku, Kwankwaso and Rochas were defeated by Buhari at the party's primaries, they stayed back to help the party win the general election.
Personal ambitions shouldn't come in the way of collective possibilities.

    1. That greedy frog eyed Tinubu wants to force people into Office. He already forced his daughter and wife into key positions in Nigeria. He placed Ambode in Lagos. He placed Osibanjo into office, now again he wants to select and put Lawan and Gbamilaja into Senate and House of Reps. Is he GOD. He should go and sit down. I am glad Bukola Saraki outsmarted him.

    2. So now that Saraki has won, let Lawan and other APC members stay back and help Saraki move ahead and stop their selfish motives over the general good of the public!!Nigeria is bigger than APC, Tinubu, Gbaja, Lawan, et al!!!

  14. APC should move on and shouldn't allow this to distract them in achieving the plans they have for Nigerians as its evident the moles in the party are beginning to surface. Btw the leadership shouldn't let their tactics known nw and pretend as if nothing happened and then strike wen the enemies/culprit are relaxed. One of the laws of power.

  31. Nice one from the APC party there, as a leader of APC party PMB, suppose to order that they should nullify the election @ the senate chamber on that Tuesday, and PMB, should also remember after all he 'independently' through ANPP nd CPC tried several years without success. He must not forget where and when he was beaten by the political rain of Nigeria. He belongs to APC party and Nigeria he should always remember that and its tenets which re binding. How does he want to effect the much-talked of CHANGE when we the APC supporters and milions of Nigerians clamor for with PDP as leaders in NASS, I mean Ike Kweremadu, and David Evil Mark the PDP hawks as senate leaders? If any youth in Nigeria can not see this? I can see what is coming frm the camp of the PDP and its followers view of their closeness to achieving their selfish ambition of bringing down the APC, nd proving to Nigerians that if the PDP is termed a failure in governance, then no party can succeed also. Meaning that governing Nigeria is not going to be possible for any party just like that and to simply put it - that Nigeria can not be fixed as many had expected. In all of this. I urge Bola Tinubu, and APC chieftains to fasting up and take Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara the traitor to court and taco all this issue there.

  32. It is APC's prerogative to sanction whoever. However, they will not be free from the consequences of promoting disunity among themselves.

  34. Hmm! What is a sanction that follows due process according to the Tinubu-led faction of the APC? 10 strokes of the cane and the removal of Saraki and Ekeremadu, and then replace them with Lawan and Remi Tinubu as was originally planned by Lord Asiwaju? These people really believe that whatever His Emperor Tinubu wants is law and now they want to implicate the President too. PMB before you start pandering to this selfish man's desires, you had better realise that no one's position is more at risk than yours. The ultimate prize for Tinubu is PMB's seat and he'll stop at nothing, all what is happening now is a dress rehearsal.

Why is everyone behaving as if APC is only constituted by old ACN members alone. Does the party not consist of members from CPC, APGA, PDP and. ACN who came together to oust Jonathan? Why is one faction trying to dominate the others? And they are all simply standing akimbo whilst this faction is going around making unnecessary noise. I tire for all of una o! We are watching...
