  91. Omotola is right. All this nonsense about trekking for corrupt and inept leaders is unnecessary distraction. Let us channel energy and focus on how to clean up the mess the politicians are leaving behind. What do we celebrate what is considered normal in all civilised countries? What is great about Jonathan conceding defeat in an election in which he was trounced? If he did not concede would he not also have suffered the consequences?

    ReplyDelete
  98. See these fools! She didn't say the trekking was done out of poverty or to enrich ur pockets, she only said u should have used that energy in trekking to bring awareness to the suffering plights of fellow Nigerians. To me I see some sense in her statement

  136. Omo those trekkers the vex o!

But one thin Omosexy has to know here is that in life we have different individuals with different aims and objectives.

In abroad for example those trekkers might me entering Guinness book of records for trekking those distances and wont be seen as stupidity.

In as much as me personally I will never embark on those type of trekking nor will I encourage anybody to do so, that does not in any way mean that people will not be ready to take embark on the dare devil trekking for reason best known to them.

some will do it for fame, while some might think that there will be money attached to it and some might just want to test out their strength and the reasons go on and on like that.

It is better to have remained mum as public figure than going to here Twitter handle to attack them with such grievous words

  150. It still doesnt change the fact that the trekking is a sign of joblessness and want of popularity. Whats the point of the trekking realy? why not organize a seminar or something more reasonable. trust me the guy doesnt give a damn if you trek from Nigeria to London, he will just show face once and then forget you ever existed.

  154. So, here's what I think. What Omotola said was a bit too insulting. Because bottom line, there's nothing anyone can do as these are grown, mature men and women who have decided to do what they think is the needful. It doesn't concern the rest of us, one way or another why they're doing it...one man's food, another's poison...That being said, the whole trekking thing is old now because it kinda seems like an after thought for them; especially seeing that they all decided after they'd seen how it went for the first trekker...who we thought would be the only... If they want to be honest, they havta agree that if they were in our shoes, they'd think what we're thinking, too. #myopinion

  164. Oga you don't have any justifiable or reasonable reason to abandon your family and trek to Abuja..how on earth will a married man expecting a second child would decide to leave his family in such circumstance to trek all in d name of honoring a politician. You should rather hide your face and not come here to comment.Don't forget to trek back to lagos or wherever u trekking from.I pity your wife....

  165. i support Omotola 100%. Nigerians like to celebrate mediocrity, we have been suffering the issue of Power, Fuel, bad roads, poor education, terrorism from Boko Haram yet nobody decide to trekk so as to register their displeasure over the bad situation or economy, yet we are supporting those who are trekking for GEJ and GMB. as if they are doing us a favour.
note: we did them a favor by voting them there in the first place, they are PUBLIC SERVANTS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD WHO ARE DOING WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THEM AND NOT AN EXTRA ORDINARY TASK. those saying GEJ's action averted crises are talking out of ignorance, because their small brain can't comprehend that Nigeria is way advance than that.
Nigerians like to copy everything very soon it will turn to a business venture, just wait until someone thinks of how to make money out of it. Mtcheeeww.
To those jobless trekkers find something doing, nobody is paying attention anymore, it is fast becoming stale news. if you must trekk do it for a much worthy cause. else trekk to evangelise and preach the gospel so that people's lives can be saved and change for the better.
