Photos: Late Sen. Uche Chukwumerije laid to rest

Late Senator Uche Chukwumerije who died on April 18th at age 76 was laid to rest yesterday May 22nd at Unity Square, Nkwoagu, Isuochi, in Umunneochi LGA of Abia State, his home town, amidst eulogies. See photos from the burial after the cut...



His body arrived the square at about 3p.m., from Enugu. Some notable guests at the ceremony were,  Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, Chief Ben Ndi Obi, chairman of the national burial committee; Prof. Alphonsus Nwosu, David Mark, Chris Ngige, Willie Obiano, and others.

  7. A great man. He has joined his great friend Major Adewale Ademoyeja. Of the multitude of Nigerian graduates that wanted to join the Nigerian Army in 1961 only two of them succeded.but he later rejected the offer. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
