Fani Kayode, Fayose and Anenih react to Pres. Buhari’s Inaugural Speech

Some Nigerians yesterday reacted to the President Muhammadu Buhari’s inaugural speech where he said:
"I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody.A few people have privately voiced fears that on coming back to office I shall go after them. These fears are groundless. There will be no paying off old scores. The past is prologue"
One of them was Former Minister and PDP presidential campaign chairman, Fani-Kayode who said:
‘’I believe his part of non vendetta will be true, all Nigerians should join hands to see Nigeria move forward. “I believe it was a promising speech and sincerely hope that he is true to what he has said especially on the issue that he will not be on a vendetta mission. I hope he is saying the right thing; hope his words will be proved to be truth. “It is incumbent upon all of us as politicians to ensure that the next four years go on smoothly. I trust that all will be well and the country will move forward.”
According to the statement issued by the governor’s Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, The Governor of Ekiti State Ayodele Fayose, said:
“The content of the President’s speech showed a man who is desirous of making a success of his administration.Nigerians, including those who voted and did not vote for President Buhari were eagerly waiting for his inaugural speech.
The speech, if followed in practice, shows that he is ready to govern Nigeria and it is a sign that the president is ready to live above board and lead a government that accommodates all.
“It is my prayer that the Almighty Allah will grant our president the courage and wherewithal to make a success of his administration and further deepen democratic governance, especially in a confederation like Nigeria, by sustaining rule of law,”
In regards to former President Jonathan, he said:
“With what Dr. Goodluck Jonathan did, history will never forget him as the man who laid an enduring foundation for democracy in Nigeria.”
Another reaction was from the Pioneer National Woman leader of the PDP and former Minister of Women Affairs and delegate to the 2014 National Conference Iyom Josephine Anenih.
She said: “I like President Muhamadu Buhari’s speech. He was very kind to former President Jonathan by acknowledging the role he played in keeping Nigeria one and united.
His avowed blueprint when implemented will definitely spell a positive Change for this country. His speech  was very states manly. Very reassuring to the nation.

  16. Dumb Fucks.
Buhari positing that "there will be no paying off old score"s does not (necessarily) mean that he will not be going after their corrupt Asses during Operation Recover Loots.
They are just too stupid to know that.

  20. A great man or woman is remembered not only by their deeds but by their words.

I will remember for the rest of my life the inaugural speech by president Buhari.

I cannot for the life of me remember anything that the former president ,Dr Jonathan said.I. Remember in 2011,when all his campaign was about him having no shoes,I told friends, family and colleagues that if this is all he has to say, then Nigeria is in trouble if led by him.

Unfortunately,I was right.Unfortunate because I'm a Nigerian and good or bad,I was affected.

People should however note, going after someone isn't the same as bringing someone to justice if documents requires it.I believe strongly that perpetrators of Ill gotten wealth should be punished.otherwise, please open the gates of all Nigerian prisons and free the inmates or at the least those awaiting trial.

    Good morning everyone.God bless you

I am not reading PMB mind but am sure when he said he wasn'the going to waste his time on vendetta missions, he must be referringto negative experiences he encountered from people in the course of his struggles to rule Nigeria. For example, he will not go after Babagida just because he threw him into jail after successfullying taking over power from him and finding nothing incriminating against him (buhari).but if buhari discovers IBB stole Nigeia's money, that will be a different story.same he can not probe keyode for insulting him, neither Mama P for imagining that he has " a dead brain " nor Ayoade Fayose for pronouncing a death sentence on him.if aviation money went missing some time ago, he will look at it and if fani kayode is involved, it's no vendetta. Let's get it straight. The man man has come to clear the rot and not to waste time on wheather he has a certificate or not. After all since he went into the villa he has not spoken pigin English. "Dere is godoooh, make them wake go".

  33. LOOK HOW THE SHAMELESS CRIMINALS HANG ON TO EVERY WORD OF BUHARI BECAUSE, OF COURSE, THEIR CRIMINAL EXISTENCE AND FATE NOW DEPENDS ON HIM.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION, BUHARI IS DUTY BOUND BY LAW AND HIS MANDATE BY THE PEOPLE TO PROSECUTE CRIMINAL ELEMENTS IN THE SOCIETY. FAILING TO DO THAT WILL BE INTERFERING WITH THE DUE PROCESS OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION...AND WE ALL KNOW BUHARI DOES NOT PLAY WITH THE NIGERIAN CONSITUTUION.

YOU GUYS BETTER KEEP YOUR LAWYERS SWEET BECAUSE IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT ROUGH RIDE.

  42. It is only corrupt people like Fayose and Fani Kayode that never wanted Buhari. People that are against corruption wants Buhari. Why are they scared of him keeping his words concerning vendetta? The only person that made sense is Josephine Anenih. She said she liked the commendation that Buhari gave to Jonathan which will go a long way to keep peace and unity in Nigeria. Her interest was for Nigeria but Fayose and Fani Kayode were after protecting personal interest like vendetta. I am not surprised that they are yoruba. Obviously Josephine Anenih is not yoruba.

  44. Please they are free to show support.
Nobody is an enemy of Nigeria.

    Buhari's 1st administration didn't help matters.
They are justified in their fears.
I don't see it as psycophancy.
Buhari delivered a good speech and should be lauded by critics alike. Only those who hate good things will fault that speech.

As for those getting on blogs to slate people.
Why not go back and examine your bitter lives.
You want him to imprison people, to curse his enemies and opposition, to dedicate his time to triffling issues. To curse Fani or fayose or goodluck, victimise the south and on the other hand you claim to want democracy.

Hopefully he'll be wise to see that any sign of vendetta or hatred will divide the country.
Thank God he is not bitter and resentful like these internet cretins. Wike too should take the cue.

  51. That idiot saying Buhari's first administration didnt help matters. Were u even born then? Thesame corrupt people plotted a coup against him and did not allow him to rule. He only lasted one year plus. So how did his administration not help matters? He was ready to instill discipline in Nigeria and fight corruption but they didnt let him last. Was it his fault?. Nigerians dont like good things. They only like evil things thats why their life-span is betweem 60-70 years as a result of their evil corrupt deeds. Whether Buhari jails them or not, Nigerians will fish them out and they must be brought to book. The voice of the people is the voice of God. Buhari cannot decide alone. He should listen to the voice of the people that are crying and suffering. These silly phycophants should shut up and go to hell and burn to ashes

Stop trying to patronise Mr President. Stop this nonsense phycophancy. We are wiser than u think. Jonathan was a good man. It was all these useless phycophants around him that destroyed his administration and he was too weak to confront corruption.
