Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev sentenced to death

Boston Marathon bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 21, was this evening sentenced to death for killing three people and injuring 264 people in the 2013 Boston attack. Dzhokhar and his older brother planted two home-made bombs near the finishing line of the Boston race, killing people and causing grave injury. Some lost their legs. His brother later died in a shootout with police.

Dzhokhar had faced a 30-count indictment, with 17 of the charges carrying the death penalty. The jury at his trial today said they were unanimous on six of counts that Tsarnaev should be administered a lethal injection.

According to CNN, as the verdicts were read out, the former college student showed no emotion but several people in the public gallery broke down in tears.

  30. I'm torn over this one. He's young, but he and his brother killed so many innocent people. His lawyers had a weak defense. They said he did it because he was following his brother's lead. All he wanted was to live, no death penalty. How you gonna kill all those and then ask for your life to be spared? His lawyers did him a disservice with that defense. Down in flames he goes.

  31. Very good judgment, why will their religion give them the right to kill innocent people for what nah, he should go and meet his brother in hell that's where they belong mtewwww!!!
