ReplyDeletegreat news
Linda,
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how in your previous post about these guys yesterday, people were falling over themselves with comments telling us that these guys are British.
Meanwhile, take a typical Emeka Okoye (made up name) born and bred in Lagos and speaks fluent Yoruba. Same people who are saying Chuka Umunna is British will tell Emeka Okoye to "go back to Onitsha".
Haba?????!!!!!
In Nigeria when will it be the turn of the young bright minds to rule
ReplyDeleteNdi IGBO kwenu yaaaaahhhhh
ReplyDeleteYaaaaahh
Deleteif na Lagos yoruba people go talk rubbish. say u are not from here
ReplyDeleteStupid people!! Why not give examples of other tribes that got elected into political offices in the East! Igbos are specialist in taking other people's own and adding to their own, not the other way round. Meanwhile 3 out of those 4 people have never even stepped there feet into Nigeria; they only have igbo names, they don't have igbo blood and mentality like you. So stop famzing them! Finally, continue licking the wounds you got from the just concluded elections! Losers!!!! Awon omo jatijati. Mtcheeeeew!!
DeleteAnon 11:17am, Aww! Nwannem, all dis write up just to drive ur point home and show ur jealousy and hatred. Oya biko hug a wet transformer okk!!! No one is licking wound here. U ar d one licking ur necrotic wound bcos u ar soooo bitter. Aturuuuu. Hahahahahah
DeleteSee the paragraph you wrote....so much pain..ewu yoruba
DeleteAnon may 8 11:17am u r so pained omg lwkmd u know u can't stop igbo's from shining lol onye ofe mmanu dirty poor yoruba entity keep hating on igbos while keep on flying high n making money
DeleteYou just insult to insult, can't be objective...whether they've stepped their toes in igbo land is meaningless. ..the fact remains Umunna and Onwurah are TYPICAL igbo surnames making their dad IGBO and them IGBO and yes they've visited igbo land before...you can go and die, jealousy and hate will kill you lots from ofe mmanu. ..eye service mother fuckers...If reverse where to be the case no one will hear any word from you guys...go educate your oba of lagos and his likes king of zulu. ..NdiIgbo are fearless!!!
DeleteOba of Lagos shey u dey see as e dey happen. EWU!!!
ReplyDeleteYou people will not let sleeping dogs lie! Always promoting tribal sentiments and rivalry.... Na your father be EWU!!! Omo alay buruku!!! Gan tell you illiterate Obi of Onitsha that nonsense.... the people you're even claiming wouldn't want to associate with you if they ever know that you exist!
DeleteAnon 12:00 I guess u Notting about the obi of imitate. Pls go and find out about him. Ur yeye oba of Lagos who is retired police man is no where near his achievements.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to them good people.
ReplyDeleteFOR HEAVENS, SAKE THEY ARE NOT NIGERIANS. THEY ARE BRITISH WITH NIGERIAN DESCENT. COMMON ON GET YOUR STORIES RIGHT. I BET THEY WOULDN'T REFER TO THEMSELVES AS NIGERIANS IF YOU ASK THEM.
ReplyDeleteDen why do dey answer Igbo names? Dey ar stil Nigerians no matter wat u say. Wikipedia wil stil giv their nationality as british Nigerian.
DeleteTell those Okponus o! All those mumu's that think they have seen 'there brothers' and claiming success over another man's sweat!
DeleteBritish you say? Then why wouldn't I an Ibo lady born and bred in Lagos be called a Lagosian. Some of you Yourubas are heartless and always jealous of the Ibos
DeleteLol. Yoruba people will not kill me with their hypocrisy. They are igbos whether you like it or not.
DeleteKing and Anon 11:23, chop plenty kisses.

ReplyDeletehow i wish that one of them is my sibling
ReplyDeleteIgbo people with their inferiority complex will flood the thread and take the opportunity to throw insults around and display their lack of home training. Those people that won are as British as the day is bright, dem send igbo?
ReplyDeleteYou are so right
DeleteYou are the most stupid person I have read there comment on LIB, I bet when the Oba theeaten Igbos with the lagoon you supported Igbos who they and their parents were Lagos born and bred now you have turned around to say these ones are as british as the daylight, wht did you not say other Nigerians born and bred in Lagos are Lagosians as the daylight? Double standards...
DeleteAnon 11:33 one thousand likes for your comment.
DeleteYoruba people are the ones who have serious inferiority complex that's why they are so pained at igbo people's success. It's a pity u can't stop our shine.
DeleteAnon 11:12, thank you so much for sense. Ibo people will come here claiming.
DeleteIf those peeps had a way, they will change their names. Ibos, terrible lot. Thank God my oga is Ikwerre

Did dey notice that they are igbos mostly? if foreigners can trust an igbo to rep them, whats wrong with us here? And does oba akiolu's media personnel knw abt this? (STUPID MAN)
ReplyDeleteShut up. Shut Up i say. First of, these peoplw don't even go around saying they are Ibos. Also, they are British of Nigerian names and descent does not make them Nigerians.

ReplyDeleteCongrat to them
ReplyDeleteGood news. Congrats to them all.
ReplyDeletehttp://funmykemmy.com
wow a very big congrats to them..
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's not the point. With their last names and heritage they would be taken as foriegners if they tried to run for elective positions eg in a state such as Lagos where some Igbos have lived all their lives and even speak more Yoruba than Igbo. That is tribalism at it's core. Over their in Britain and the USA your heritage and name does not matter. All that matters is that you are a Briton or American who can add value and that you are a law abiding citizen that pats tax.
ReplyDeleteand I am glad for them. I hope that they would not join the throngs of others who rubbish our country's name in the international scene. I hope they will help to restore our prestige.
ReplyDeleteCongrats oo...
ReplyDeleteLinda i doubt they are Nigerians. They are british citizens. Plz correct this. U cant win a political sit in a country u are not from. Dont give false information before people will go to another country with the aim of wining a political sit. I doubt they even claim Nigeria.
ReplyDeleteShut your mouth. They are Nigerians. Because it has to do with success now u doubt if They are Nigerians.
DeleteStop talking like an illiterate or u better shut up ur mouth if u dnt know what to say
Deletecongratulation jarezzz. una do well...Nigeria representing!!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but these ppl are not Nigerian o. Don't let them revoke their seats! Lol. Citizenship is not only in name a
ReplyDeletewe are bad like that
ReplyDeleteChuka Umuna is from OGBUNKA, Orumba South L.G.A of Anambra State. He is the only son of Lt.Chief Ossy Ben Umuna.
ReplyDeleteThere you have it.
This tribe thing don cause fight for Instagram! It will surprise igbo people by the time they interviewed this 4 people and they tell you they're british and not nigerian! Una hand go just drop...loool ask that ejiofor guy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to them
ReplyDeleteIgbo or no igbo, these people possess different behavior and character than the igbos living in Nigeria. We better not deceive ourselves they might be igbo by name but that the called igbo isnt in their vein
ReplyDeleteAm so happy for them......big congrats too
ReplyDeleteMany congratulations to them all, this only happens in advanced countries where tribalism & ethnicity is not called for.. Hope our dear country is learning..
ReplyDeleteAll ibos! Great! And they say we can't rule nigeria but we are on to bigger things, the White house in a bit😀
ReplyDeleteCongrats to my sister...You've made Igbos proud!
ReplyDeleteWhen God loves a tribe, He loves them, all the other ones will do is to hate and castigate them. Igbos are great! if this pains you please reply but deep down you know say we be the greatest cos we are Gods beloved. Now that we are in the news for good, they want to discredit us. Ewoo. They cant stop us from shinning simple and short. Ndi obiakpo.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, and thank God that Nigerians are in the news for good reasons
ReplyDeleteI love BIAFRA, HARD working people.
ReplyDeleteLet Oba ji of Lagos go hung transformer for the Britions

ReplyDeletedats good 2 know, very BIG congrats, oba ji of lagos take note.oliver
ReplyDeleteEverything turns into Igbo vs Yoruba. Congrats to the winning pols. Eff the tribalists.
ReplyDeleteThe United Kingdom Elections have come and gone, no ballot box snatching, no mass thumb-printing of ballot papers at the residence of A, B & C, nobody was killed, maimed or kidnapped. I did not see party posters defacing streets. No woman leader! No 60 year old as a youth leader! No hired crowds with drumming and insulting the opponents. Campaign was issue based, and of course no one used 'Presidential Jets/Private Jets' to move from one place to the other, no 'First Lady' threatening fire and brimstone. Pray! If only my beloved country can copy this type of electioneering process and not the "do or die" attitude.
ReplyDelete
