Video: Maid in Nairobi caught on camera breastfeeding boss's baby

A newly employed maid in Kenya identified as Grace Mwikali Mwema has been arrested by the Kenyan police after she was caught on camera breastfeeding her boss's 9months old baby.

In the video which was aired on Kenya's Nairobi news, the nanny, who is a mother of a three month old child, is seen offering her breasts to the baby who sucked for a few seconds and then refused to continue. Seeing that the child was no longer cooperating, the house help dropped the child to play.

The child's mum had installed a nanny camera in her home to monitor the maid she'd employed just two days before the incident. She said when the nanny was confronted, she first claimed that the baby was the one playing with her breast but later admitted when she was told she'd been filmed doing the unnatural act. The woman called the police who arrested the maid and later posted the video to her Facebook page. See the video after the cut...

    From the video, i gathered that maid has no interior motive other than stupidity. The child should be checked and maid be cautioned and freed from detention.

The video shows how she lovingly held the baby, offered to breast feed it, it said no and she jejely put the baby down. Installing cameras in your house to see what a nanny is up to is not a good reason for you to leave your child and work or do whatever. So if you were gainfully employed with a career you worked your socks off to build, you will take a few years off work to take care of your baby until he/she gets into nursery school? Lmfao!     I didnt bother to even watch the video, but judging from my instincts, the maid acted out of motherly instincts. She has a three months old baby, there's this hormone of love and joy that will be running through her veins at the moment. I bet she meant no evil, besides, i read when the baby rejected, she put down the baby gently, she didnt force the baby. Its not a polic matter. If her bosses are generous enough to correct her and retain her , fine, but if not, they should sack her Its not a police matter pls, remember she has a three month old baby. For the sake of her baby pls......Besides, grand mothers in those days breastfeed their grand children. My grandmother breastfed almost all my siblings that lived with her.....its just being a mother.....no ill motive..

    I really don't think this is police station issue. I however understand why the mom will be upset. I will be upset as well. Breastfeeding is also a time for a mom to bond with her baby. Also the fact that breast milk is a bodily fluid and a lot of what you eat, drink, medicines one takes is reflected in the taste of breast milk makes it awkward.

    Why is this unnatural?
    The maid herself is a recent mother, and so will be lactating.
    Children are breastfed for up to two years.
    A nine month old bay nursing from another woman is not an unnatural act; it's no worse than feeding someone else's child.
    And arguably it's part of her responsibility to ensure the child is fed.

    The fact that the poor maid was arrested for this is a travesty.
    And meantime the poor woman's child is deprived of her mother for something that isn't a crime.

    I hope she can afford to sue.
