Obama phones Jonathan, commends him for his statesmanship
I've said this before and I will say it again - for what he did to ensure a peaceful election in this country, no bloodshed because he lost and even calling Buhari to congratulate him, GEJ is my hero. Posterity will remember him.
Bullshit! If u think he deserves anytn then u r full of BS Cos he did what he was supposed to do he deserves commendation? Why r u guys of a small mind? Mehn ds is so disgusting! Name one thing jonathan did during his tenure and defend it and Pls nobd shd come up wt d stupid railway system or almajiri schs cos Dts all bullshit too .......Lily.......
Oh shut it, learn to call a spade a spade. He could have accepted the results without calling. U think if buhari did thesame on2011 the fulanis would have killed the way they did. I that is the right thing to do, when did buhari do it the 3 times he lost. if results were opposite, would he have done what Jonathan did, instead right now the streets would be painted with the blood on our brothers.
GEJ is my Hero! You can't tell me who my hero should be or not! Get a grip girl, you sound so hateful! No Nigerian President has ever done what he did! International World recognised him,cos African Leaders are usually tyrannical and sit tights! Goodluck is a decent man! Admire him

So i guess buhari isn't democratic, because he never did this in the 3 elections he lost. Because Jonathan did it, it's not a big deal that's what he is expected to do. Please how many times did buhari do it 0-3
God bless you bros. Me sef i tire. he is a hero, he is a hero, he is a hero. I BEG MAKE I HEAR WORD. Thank u o Aboki...someone please tell Linda to stop with this hero propaganda bull shit...It is PDP's aim to make this hero worship viral so that we all forget about all the looting they've done n are still doing...so that we longer focus on their inadequacies... And Linda is allowing her self to be a PDP agent due to her partisan approach. We know he is your hero Linda but please stop blocking the comments of those of us that don't agree and shoving your opinion down out throat! Thank u.
Linda dont be fooled, its politics... they know what they are up to.have u seen FFK talk? N v u forgotten that they want a case? yes GEJ is a good man bt surrounded by mad n evil people that led him to his doom!
a.k.a EDWIN CHINEDU AZUBUKO said... . Atlist made a gud name for himself b4 leaving office..... Thats nice Ex presido.... . . ***CURRENTLY IN JUPITER***
Yes ma'm GEJ is the deal And I still maintain there is a very positive reason he did that apart from just wanting peace to reign
He purposely wanted to frustrate the PDP god fathers who think they own Nigeria #my here #he left a legacy for democracy #Nigeria will never forget you and 2015 election #book of history
Linda you are so right. GEJ is a true democrat and would be remembered in the history of Nigeria. I hope this will set a precidence for future elections in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
Yes.But I have said it before Linda, dig a little.just a little though I'm convinced you wouldn't share your findings. The same way I can't.my hero is Prof Attahiru Jega. When you dig Linda, you'll also know why.
No doubt....but him and his wife fuckup.....no pity party for me.....he forgot d electorates and started tea party in aso rock...stomach infrastructure became d other of d day....thanks to father mbaka that prayed em out, God answers prayers....the performance of Buhari, GEJ won't be remembered in d books. Anyways jail term awaits em.
GEJ our Hero nd pride. We love nd cherish him. History will never forget him for saving Nigeria from sinking, after all d prediction dat Nigeria will break bos of dis election God sti used him to unite us all together
Come on Linda, you cannot tell me you expect so little from our leaders. What Jonathan did is just the PROPER thing to do. It takes no act of heroism just good sense. I will say thank you to Jonathan for using his God given sense but that is as far as it goes. The real heroism would have been him defeating Boko Haram and providing jobs to 60 million Nigerians. Let us please not forget these real issues.
Dear Linda, I think our standard in this country are so low.
How can you call "doing the right thing" and heroic act.
Its like me saying you are a hero fro breathing.
Its commendable he did such, but it does not change the past terrible governance we've had over the past 5years, the shameless way they ran their campaign or the attempt to frustrate the election.
Nice one from Obama.Gej is a nobleman but my hero in this election are the electorates. The ones who risked BH attack to cast their votes. The ones who defied the rain to ensure they exercise their franchise. The ones who stood under the sun to choose the man that will lead them. And the ones who died in the process. The elections remained peaceful coz the masses united to pursue peace.
Let it rest already Linda. Go cry yourself yo sleep. Why won't he be your hero when u got your share of the national cake. Bastard! You better watch yourself and what you post you have readers that are for both. I literate like you
It's gud that he(Gej) heard all d advices given to him that's to be able to accept defeat and retire honourably so he could be remembered with honour and all his flows and weaknesses will be forgotten in no time.
But wait o....I mean no disrespect and I commend him for his decision to concede defeat. But what he did, was it not the normal and right thing to do? This is just like hailing a governor because he "worked" while in office, was he not suppose to go and serve the people?
linda you're just a goat, you wouldn't reward an airport cleaner who returned missing money to the owner even when her own salary is nothing to write home about but Jonathan is your hero for doing his job, what is right, allowing peace to reign and didn't allow anybody die for losing the general elections. what kinda brain is in your head sef. oh i guess he has promised you and your stupid friend MrAyedee plenty goodies if he had won abi,see I said a prayer point for those who for their selfish reasons want GEJ's corrupt government to continue. I told God to uproot them from this land of the living and plant them in their graves.. "if only " GEJ had won abi, you're just an hypocrite, selfish motherfucker..no wonder Olamide tagged you an oloshi. we'll see where u end up. idiot
GMB has won, we have heard. Change has come, we agree. The Nigerian Lee Kwan Yew has arrived. We welcome him. However, we expect to see this change PRONTO. Constant electricity in four years. WAEC pass rate should be 90%. In four years. There should be no more potholes on our roads. In four years. We shouldn't hear of crime. In four years. There must be no corruption in ANY sector of our public/private lives. The Naira should gain grounds against foreign currency(that one no favour me but I go still talk am). In four years. Fuel price should be N16. In four years. All of these and many more. In four years. To all those who rained abuses on GEJ and Patience in the name of campaign, all I ask is, be as critical of the incoming government as u were of GEJ's. Don't ask us if he's a magician oooo, after all, GEJ was no magician either. We will not hear the excuse that Nigeria's problems did not start with Buhari ooo. We will not hear that change takes time o. Let us judge him by the same yardsticks...after all, what is good for Nosa, is also good for Musa, abi? At the same time, we have not forgotten all the promises o. Stipends to the poorest families. Payment of 'allawee' to unemployed graduates. Feeding Nigerian students daily. When he made these promises, he knew about the country's reserves. He knew that the crude prices were falling. He said he would do it, and Nigerians believed him. We should watch carefully. How will he constitute his cabinet? What will his body language be towards bigwigs in his party that have been accused of corruption? How exactly does he intend to "pight kwaroption"? Four years is a long time. A lot can be done in four years, For the sake of our dear country, I sincerely hope that change has come.
You keep posting this nonsense Linda, yet u refuse to post opposing views...its shameful and I'd say please be careful because your blog will not always be the most popular forever n it doesn't take very much to go from villain to hero these days and vice versa...if u don't believe me, ask GEJ!
LINDA IKEJI ABEG IS HE NOT SUPPOSED TO ENUSURE A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION IN NIGERIA? IS THAT NOT THE WORK OF A PRESIDENT? IS HE NOT SUPPOSED TO ACCEPT DEFEAT HONOURABLY? PLEASE THEN WHY GLORIFY HIM FOR DOING WHAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO. REMEMBER THE AIRPORT CLEANER YOU REFUSED TO GLORIFY / CALL A HERO FOR DOING WHAT SHES SUPPOSED TO? THIS IS JUST THE SAME THING SO PLEASE STOP MAKING AN ISSUE OUT OF NOTHING.
Thank you abeg. Those calling him a hero because he did what he was supposed to do, he has never been hailed since the 6yrs he's been in power like he is hailed today. It is still very shameful. And those saying he ensured a free and fair election, GEJ DID NOT ENSURE A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION, JEGA DID!!! SO YOU PEOPLE DONT KNOW THE PDP TRIED TO RIG IN SOME PLACES BUT IT WASNT POSSIBLE? In essence I'm saying, the election or atleast most of it was free and fair because they had no other choice, the citizens were fed up and this time our vote had to count! If there's anyone that's a hero right now, IT IS JEGA, only God knows how much bribery that noble man has refused for our sake! God bless Jega, He is the true hero here! Now move on Mr Jonathan, bye bye.
I am a Gejite and nt coss I'm a politician bt because I love the man jonathan! A Lot of pp dnt acknowledge for wat he has done and to me he is the best president nigeria has ever had. A peaceful man and easy going. He also broke a curse in aso rock, he and his wife returned from aso rock nt one of dem. Thank u jonathan for wat u did, Weda u empowered jega or nt, I giv u standing ovation. U had ur faults which I always tell apc supporters bt u were not all bad, u had ur goods too. U improved a lot of things and made several changes. Gej d man I love nt pdp. I hope we all learn from him, he is a true leader!
Dr. Abati, it is good to point out the credibility in GEJ's action. GEJ has positively situated himself in the history of Nigeria's development. What do we remember Dr. Abati for?
Yes Gej u r my hero for doing what buhari couldnt. U r more man dn hm...strength isnt in showing power but in ability to restrain power for d greater good
Linda GEJ did the right thing, why should he be celebrated cuz of it..... you are so bias ehn! you posted sometimes ago the story of a woman that was celebrated for doing the right thing, and you were so against it. Stop being bias, its wrong. I'm postin here for the first time and it.......
Stop saying it because it's our right to have a free and fair election. You are just a journalist who writes about what she feed on so I don't blame u. Just stop all this your jonathan hero stunt..
I really don't understand what the hulabaloo is all about. Was GEJ not meant to concede defeat?? In 2011, Buhari felt cheated and took the case to the tribunal. Anyone that says he told his Northern brothers to go on rampage killing ppl is wrong. We Nigerian are so used to ppl doing things the wrong way that we tag someone a hero for doing what he is ordinarily supposed to do. A hero is someone that does something extraordinary. I thank GEJ for doing the right thing, but to call him a hero? That's too far. My own opinion.
Can people just chill on this hero hero story......only a fool wuld av done otherwise......Jonathan played a smart card.....i most definitely would av done same. I'm certain this is one of the very few decisions Jonathan made on his own....he quickly made the call to buhari before the final result was made because he knew the Stupid people that surrounded him would soon come n feed him with lies........that call shut dem all up.........If only he had surrounded himself with the right people.....he probably might have won......Be careful who u surround urself with......
There is more to the story. He didn't concede to victory out of his own volition. it took some noble men who were with him at that moment, for him to do the needful...Linda, dig, dig and you shall find the true story...
You are a very big ignoramus...look who's talking rational? Is a typical nigerian rational? it may not be heroic in an ideal world, but idiot!, this is Nigeria. It has never been done before... he is a pace setter, even the US and other countries recognise that so who cares about an inconsequential opinion from a random LIBer...
You think it's not heroic?? Three times that Buhari lost the election did he congratulate his fellow contestant who won?? Or you think there would ve been peace if Jonathan won whether it was free nd fair or not.....i think God heard Nigerians prayers for peace so it was either jonathan lose or no peace nd God let him lose because he has greater plans for him....mark my words...
Copied - JUST CHECKING MY MEMORY CARD*Buhari will die before theElection - Ayo Fayose*Buhari is brain dead - MamaPeace*If APC survives till October 2014,call me a bastard.- Doyin Okupe*Mark my words, It will nothappen for Buhari to ruleNigeria. - Doyin Okupe.*If APC wins, I will go on exile. -Bode George.*Buhari can never win inYorubaland. - Gani Adams.*Jonathan will shock APC withdefeat. - FFK*If Jonathan loses, we would setNigeria on fire. - Asari Dokubo.*We instigated the 6 weekspostponement so that Jonathancan win. - Fasehun*I will deliver 1 million votes toJonathan in Ondo state. - Mimiko*We shall deliver the South West votes to Jonathan. - Afenifere*Tinubu is no longer a force inthe South West. - YinkaOdumakin.*Buhari at 70 wears diaper like my mother. - Fayose*Jonathan already has Lagos votes. - MusiliuMy people, wetin God take pass man, tape rule no fit measure am oooooO... Hmm. smile emoticon
He has written his name not just on a tablet of stone but also in our hearts. He is a man of his word and we'll always remember him and make reference about him. He is the HERO of our time.
What has Goodluck done? God made it possible for Nigerians!! People lost their lives on this same day by Boko Haram... Free and fair election is what Jonathan should be celebrated for? Make una think! Rigging nor favour PDP this time ni. Why won't he be your hero? As na Pdp logo you carry put for your site background.. God help us all
All Jonathan did was what needed to be done. I commend him cos I mean we all know Nigerians are not good at accepting defeat so while it's praise worthy I doubt it requires laurels or peace prices. The man did what is normal in every democracy. Weldon to him still. Sewe
Linda,u should know better, christianity don't encourage shedding Of innocent blood unlike d mass killings in previous electons..GEJ God ll increase ur wisdom
GEJ my hero forever and yes posterity will sure be fair to him. Abati? I hate to hear that name again he's one of the major down fall of my President I hope GEJ run far from him now. #Gejite come rain, come sun, come boko haram, come issis come what may I remain GEJ loyalist. God bless you my President.
Gej is a hero hero, a champion God bless you sir restoring peace in Nigeria! Since 2-3days now news of book haram??? Had it been that jona won, deaths every where thanx God...
All this people talking here self..... GEJ is really my hero...... GEJ only lost with 3 Million votes to GMB .....but remember in 2011 GMB only got 3million votes and GEJ got 11 million votes But inspite of that he GMB refused to concede defeat and congratulate GEJ and that was how he instigated violence many lives where lost in the North , especially corp members.... That was how I lost my best friend and someone we graduated together from the Univ......take it or leave it if GEJ had not accept the results.... Niger /Delta would b boiling by now... #GEJmyhero
How does one accepting defeat make him a hero? Isn't that his job? The person we should be thanking is jega. Linda he is not a hero, he failed at his job, please let's not send a wrong message to Buhari. Free and fair election is part of the constitution... He is not a hero, yes a good man but not a hero, do you know a hero means? Linda go check your dictionary
The world is calling to congratulate Goodluck who lost instead of Buhari who won, this suggests something, Goodluck's act has made him take the shine from Buhari.Kudos GEJ.
Abeg jona wan go rest pdp and apc on dis blog stop abusing urselves jare. Jonathan is tired of that presidential seat. He was Nigeria's president for 6yrs. He wants to go into another business lolz. Maureen
He is a hero for doing the right thing? Na wa for Nigerians. We have lost all value for ourselves to the point where we are now deifying a man who did what he is supposed to do. You forget how he, through his carelessness brought the country's economy to its knee. Na wa oh. We deserve better. He is not a hero for this...I would have called him a hero if he had giving up the first 2 years of office after realizing he couldn't govern this country. He is not a hero because he conceded. Sorry.
I ALMOST 100% AGREED WITH YOU ON THIS POST BUT THEN I SUDDENLY REMEMBERED A STORY YOU COVERED A FEW WEEKS AGO ABOUT THE LADY WHO FOUND $27.000 AT THE AIRPORT AND RETURNED IT.
LINK HERE http://www.lindaikeji.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/biko-my-dear-lib-readers-help-me-weigh.html
I REMEMBER THAT YOU TOOK THE MORAL GROUND THAT YOU FEEL THAT SHE DID WHAT SHE SHOULD HAVE DONE ANYWAYS…….WHICH IS ….FOR HER TO RETURN THE MONEY TO ITS RIGHTFUL OWNER………..BECAUSE IT DIDNT BELONG TO HER IN THE FIRST PLACE
LET ME QUOTE YOU SELF "Was Josephine not supposed to return the money? Was it hers to keep? If you saw money that doesn't belong to you somewhere, would you keep it? Are we not supposed to return lost items we found?………."Has our society lost its morals so much that returning money that doesn't belong to you is now something that deserves to get you a gofundme page? *sigh*"
SO, CAN WE USE THE SAME MORAL GORUND/PROTOCOL FOR THIS YOUR PRESIDENT JONATHAN STATEMENT AS WELL?
IS PRESIDENT JONATHAN NOT SUPPOSE TO GIVE HIS PRESIDENTIAL SEAT TO THE NEXT GOVERNMENT? THE SEAT DOES NOT BELONG TO HIM OR HIS GREAT GRAND FATHER SO WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? ARE WE NOT SUPPOSED TO RETURN THINGS THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO US?
FINALLY………HAS OUR SOCIETY LOST ITS MORALS SO MUCH THAT GIVING THE NEXT ELECTED GOVERNMENT ITS RIGHTFUL SUCCESSION IS NOW SOMETHING THAT DESERVES OUR 'THANKING' TO PRESIDENT JONATHAN?
……..LOL….I'M JUST SAYING….JUST OBSERVING…………. CUZ I REMEMBER …….OVER A THOUSAND PEOPLE COMMENTED ON THAT YOUR POST AND I WOULD SAY 95% OF PEOPLE AGREED WITH YOU. I PERSONALLY STOOD STRONGLY ON THE FENCE ON THAT ISSUE….I WAS NOT FOR OR AGAINST IT. BUT I FELT YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE EVEN POSTED THE WRITE UP. I FEEL THAT IF YOU FEEL SHE DID NOT DESERVE A GOFUNDME PAGE, THEN WHY ADVERTISE YOUR FEELINGS OR EXPERIENCE OF THE MATTER ON YOUR SITE? IT MADE IT SEEM LIKE YOU WERE HATING ON HER ACTIONS EVEN THOUGH YOU SAID YOU WOULD REWARD HER IF YOU EVER MEET HER IN PERSON.
RATHER, I FELT YOU SHOULD HAVE HELPED PEOPLE WHO FELT OTHERWISE FIND OUT IF THE GOFUNDME PAGE WAS AUTHENTIC.
EITHER WAY, LIKE I SAID, I STAND ON THE FENCE…….IF I EVER SEE HER PERSONALLY, ME…….I WILL NOT GIVE HER MONEY, BUT AT THE SAME TIME, I WOULD NOT DISCOURAGE ANYONE WHO WANTED TO GIVE MONEY FOR SUCH AN ACT. ……..I WOULD RATHER GREET HER AND COMMEND HER. SIMPLE AND SHORT, EACH TO THEIR OWN.
AT THE END OF THE DAY….NOBODY KNOWS IF SHE WOULD HAVE EVEN RETURNED THE MONEY IF SHE HAD CHECKED THE BAG AND FOUND THE MONEY INSIDE IT. BUT I AM VERY SURE THAT MOST PEOPLE WILL NOT RETURN THE MONEY………EVEN I DONT KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO IN THAT SITUATION UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO ME. …..LOL…..MAYBE THAT IS WHY I AM STRONGLY ON THE FENCE ON THIS ISSUE.
WELL DON ON COVERING THIS ELECTION LINDA …….I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS ONE….I JUST WANTED TO MAKE A POINT…I HOPE YOU GET ME………...HEHEHEHEHE……..THAT ALL
What he did was good.. calling him a hero, that's too much. Aldoe I hear he knows little about what his aides do, but still his lack of responsibility has led to a lot of nonsense we will like to forget.
When GEJ publicly apologizes for the mistakes of his team and publicly takes responsibility (saying crucify me instead of them) then he is a hero.
I have said it too many times. Jonathan is the happiest person on earth. He is so happy to have lost. Now he is relieved. All those close associates. Go Rest. Hero, No! Weak politician. Yes! But Lucky person. Go Rest!
most comments are based on our opinions which is good.. but then even if you dont understand African History or know anything about Power, you could have help your self by using the help of wonderful google to learn about any incumbent president mainly in Africa that left office peacefully without much violence and bloodshed maybe then you will understand why most people are commending GEJ acceptance.

Like morocco king did abi ??
ReplyDeleteGEJ is my hero too.a man of peace.
ReplyDeleteYes ma'm
ReplyDeleteGEJ is the deal
And I still maintain there is a very positive reason he did that apart from just wanting peace to reign
He purposely wanted to frustrate the PDP god fathers who think they own Nigeria
#my here #he left a legacy for democracy #Nigeria will never forget you and 2015 election #book of history
Linda you are so right. GEJ is a true democrat and would be remembered in the history of Nigeria. I hope this will set a precidence for future elections in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
ReplyDeleteI feel you linda!
ReplyDeleteJonathan is my hero. He has set the pace and will be remembered for it forever!

Of course GEJ is a peaceful MAN!!!
ReplyDeleteSame thoughts Linda. He did great.
ReplyDeleteWe don't know what to believe again. Same way you said King of Morocco called and u caused Diplomatic Row.
ReplyDeletethats your business madam linda.
ReplyDeleteCool.... ..
ReplyDeleteIndeed he is
ReplyDeleteLinda, you can't be partisan here. Some of your readers can't stand Jonathan. Keep your heroism thoughts to yourself.
ReplyDeleteGEJ our Hero nd pride. We love nd cherish him. History will never forget him for saving Nigeria from sinking, after all d prediction dat Nigeria will break bos of dis election God sti used him to unite us all together
ReplyDeleteHero kor, European Ni
ReplyDeleteVery true!... a Rare sense of Patriotism!
ReplyDeleteCome on Linda, you cannot tell me you expect so little from our leaders.
ReplyDeletePresident Jonathan is a Great man.
ReplyDeleteyes Linda, after all said and done, GEJ is leaving Aso rock as a record breaker in Africa! correct man.
ReplyDeleteYes that makes us two linda GEG is my heroe I so much love this man nay God continue to bless president jonathan"".
ReplyDeleteGEJ is a hero indeed. Buhari will not do the same as he did.
ReplyDeleteOf course he is
ReplyDeleteHe's indeed one of a kind. Great things ahead for him, God bless Goodluck Jonathan.
ReplyDeleteDear Linda, I think our standard in this country are so low.
ReplyDeleteHow can you call "doing the right thing" and heroic act.
Its like me saying you are a hero fro breathing.
Its commendable he did such, but it does not change the past terrible governance we've had over the past 5years, the shameless way they ran their campaign or the attempt to frustrate the election.
Don't promote mediocrity, I'm sorry!
#GEJismyHERO
ReplyDeleteNice one from Obama.Gej is a nobleman but my hero in this election are the electorates. The ones who risked BH attack to cast their votes. The ones who defied the rain to ensure they exercise their franchise. The ones who stood under the sun to choose the man that will lead them. And the ones who died in the process. The elections remained peaceful coz the masses united to pursue peace.
ReplyDeleteLet it rest already Linda. Go cry yourself yo sleep. Why won't he be your hero when u got your share of the national cake. Bastard! You better watch yourself and what you post you have readers that are for both. I literate like you

ReplyDeleteGEJ is a hero.
ReplyDeleteIt's gud that he(Gej) heard all d advices given to him that's to be able to accept defeat and retire honourably so he could be remembered with honour and all his flows and weaknesses will be forgotten in no time.

DeleteReuben didn't u see when I called too. Y didn't u post it
ReplyDeleteYou are very right linda. He is my hero any day.
ReplyDeleteBut wait o....I mean no disrespect and I commend him for his decision to concede defeat. But what he did, was it not the normal and right thing to do? This is just like hailing a governor because he "worked" while in office, was he not suppose to go and serve the people?
ReplyDeletelinda you're just a goat, you wouldn't reward an airport cleaner who returned missing money to the owner even when her own salary is nothing to write home about but Jonathan is your hero for doing his job, what is right, allowing peace to reign and didn't allow anybody die for losing the general elections. what kinda brain is in your head sef. oh i guess he has promised you and your stupid friend MrAyedee plenty goodies if he had won abi,see I said a prayer point for those who for their selfish reasons want GEJ's corrupt government to continue. I told God to uproot them from this land of the living and plant them in their graves.. "if only " GEJ had won abi, you're just an hypocrite, selfish motherfucker..no wonder Olamide tagged you an oloshi. we'll see where u end up. idiot
ReplyDeleteRegrettable but necessary...... You will seldom find leaders like Jonathan
ReplyDeleteGMB has won, we have heard. Change has come,
ReplyDeletewe agree. The Nigerian Lee Kwan Yew has
arrived. We welcome him. However, we expect
to see this change PRONTO.
Constant electricity in four years. WAEC pass
rate
should be 90%. In four years. There should be
no more potholes on our roads. In four years.
We shouldn't hear of crime. In four years. There
must be no corruption in ANY sector of our
public/private lives. The Naira should gain
grounds against foreign currency(that one no
favour me but I go still talk am). In four years.
Fuel price should be N16. In four years. All of
these and many more. In four years.
To all those who rained abuses on GEJ and
Patience in the name of campaign, all I ask is, be
as critical of the incoming government as u were
of GEJ's. Don't ask us if he's a magician oooo,
after all, GEJ was no magician either. We will not
hear the excuse that
Nigeria's problems did not start with Buhari ooo.
We will not hear that change takes time o. Let
us judge him by the same yardsticks...after all,
what is good for Nosa, is also good for Musa,
abi?
At the same time, we have not forgotten all the
promises o. Stipends to the poorest families.
Payment of 'allawee' to unemployed graduates.
Feeding Nigerian students daily. When he made
these promises, he knew about the country's
reserves. He knew that the crude prices were
falling. He said he would do it, and Nigerians
believed him.
We should watch carefully. How will he
constitute his cabinet? What will his body
language be towards bigwigs in his party that
have been accused of corruption? How exactly
does he intend to "pight kwaroption"?
Four years is a long time. A lot can be done in
four years, For the sake of our dear country, I
sincerely hope that change has come.
Rightly said. I support! God bless u
DeleteYou keep posting this nonsense Linda, yet u refuse to post opposing views...its shameful and I'd say please be careful because your blog will not always be the most popular forever n it doesn't take very much to go from villain to hero these days and vice versa...if u don't believe me, ask GEJ!
DeleteHabitual liar.
ReplyDeleteLINDA IKEJI ABEG IS HE NOT SUPPOSED TO ENUSURE A FREE AND FAIR ELECTION IN NIGERIA?
ReplyDeleteThank you abeg.
DeleteYou knw more than the american president abi???...olodo foool!
DeleteWow. The Archbishop or Canterbury. Ah love Jona
ReplyDeleteYes ooooo, lindiway same here...
ReplyDeleteI am a Gejite and nt coss I'm a politician bt because I love the man jonathan! A Lot of pp dnt acknowledge for wat he has done and to me he is the best president nigeria has ever had. Thank u jonathan for wat u did, Weda u empowered jega or nt, I giv u standing ovation. U had ur faults which I always tell apc supporters bt u were not all bad, u had ur goods too. ReplyDeleteGEJ is a great hero.. i would forever remember you
ReplyDeleteDr. Abati,
ReplyDeleteit is good to point out the credibility in GEJ's action. GEJ has positively situated himself in the history of Nigeria's development. What do we remember Dr. Abati for?
Yes Gej u r my hero for doing what buhari couldnt. U r more man dn hm...strength isnt in showing power but in ability to restrain power for d greater good
ReplyDeleteLinda GEJ did the right thing, why should he be celebrated cuz of it..... you are so bias ehn! you posted sometimes ago the story of a woman that was celebrated for doing the right thing, and you were so against it. Stop being bias, its wrong. I'm postin here for the first time and it.......
ReplyDeleteStop saying it because it's our right to have a free and fair election. You are just a journalist who writes about what she feed on so I don't blame u. Just stop all this your jonathan hero stunt..
ReplyDeleteI really don't understand what the hulabaloo is all about.
ReplyDeleteMy sister biko help me tell dem o,some Nigerians sha.

DeleteYou jst sounded like an idiot
DeleteGEJ is the real MVP, I love him so much and I know that history will be kind to him. God bless you sir, you're a hero.
ReplyDeleteGod punish u Linda Biased Bigot! Now u know!
ReplyDeleteWho you be please?
DeleteGEJ u r a wise man its just dat ur entourages r useless. U ve done well n Nigerians wld remember u 4 dis.
ReplyDeleteCan people just chill on this hero hero story......only a fool wuld av done otherwise......Jonathan played a smart card.....i most definitely would av done same.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteThere is more to the story. He didn't concede to victory out of his own volition. it took some noble men who were with him at that moment, for him to do the needful...Linda, dig, dig and you shall find the true story...
Thank you Mr.president for accepting defeat
ReplyDeleteMy President Jonathan is a hero
ReplyDeleteE done do now lol.
ReplyDeleteYes linda....and for Buhari supprters that don't agreed with this, *SMH*
ReplyDeleteLinda biko, isn't it the right thing to do.
ReplyDeleteI commend him too for not behaving like IBB....cos he had d power to do so as d sitting president!!!
ReplyDeleteGaskiya GEJ has set the ball of change rolling, now let's see how the #teamchange are going to carry it on.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Linda
ReplyDeleteGEJ is my hero too because of his humility ,his a gentleman to the core and easily accessable president Nigeria has ever had.
ReplyDeleteWhat he did is what any rational human being should do.
ReplyDeleteIt's not an heroic feat.
DeleteYou think it's not heroic?? Three times that Buhari lost the election did he congratulate his fellow contestant who won?? Or you think there would ve been peace if Jonathan won whether it was free nd fair or not.....i think God heard Nigerians prayers for peace so it was either jonathan lose or no peace nd God let him lose because he has greater plans for him....mark my words...
DeleteNice one oga Jona
ReplyDeleteGenerations will always remember this

ReplyDeleteLindodo, who says no bloodshed? What about the estimated 50people in total that died during the elections, shey na water them shed?
ReplyDeleteYes posterity will remember him,if d reverse wr to be d case I know all those Abokis wld av started killing Christians.
ReplyDeleteGEJ my hero too. Obj can't do what he did.
ReplyDeleteHe has written his name not just on a tablet of stone but also in our hearts. He is a man of his word and we'll always remember him and make reference about him. He is the HERO of our time.
ReplyDeletebiko he be lyk say he weytin u wan collect 4 dis mata...he is ur hero!!! aigooooooo. sai baba....sai Buhari...nofin for PDP dis Year.
ReplyDeleteWhat has Goodluck done? God made it possible for Nigerians!! People lost their lives on this same day by Boko Haram... Free and fair election is what Jonathan should be celebrated for? Make una think! Rigging nor favour PDP this time ni. Why won't he be your hero? As na Pdp logo you carry put for your site background.. God help us all
ReplyDeleteI agree! He did well, he has set the bar for other african leaders who want to die in office!!!
ReplyDeleteAll Jonathan did was what needed to be done. I commend him cos I mean we all know Nigerians are not good at accepting defeat so while it's praise worthy I doubt it requires laurels or peace prices. The man did what is normal in every democracy. Weldon to him still. Sewe
ReplyDeleteLinda,u should know better, christianity don't encourage shedding Of innocent blood unlike d mass killings in previous electons..GEJ God ll increase ur wisdom
ReplyDeleteI agree! He did well, he has set the bar for other african leaders who want to die in office!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is now my hero too eventho I didn't vote for him
ReplyDeletewhy are you going on about this issue Linda, is it because you supported DPD? abeg, he is doing what he is supposed to be doing.
ReplyDeleteIt is our RIGHT to have a free and fair election
ReplyDeleteGEJ my hero forever and yes posterity will sure be fair to him. Abati? I hate to hear that name again he's one of the major down fall of my President I hope GEJ run far from him now. #Gejite come rain, come sun, come boko haram, come issis come what may I remain GEJ loyalist. God bless you my President.
ReplyDeleteGej is a hero hero, a champion God bless you sir restoring peace in Nigeria! Since 2-3days now news of book haram??? Had it been that jona won, deaths every where thanx God...
ReplyDeleteAll this GEJ haters be soundin like illitrates...fools that think they nw knw mre than the president of d united states!!!
ReplyDeleteAll this people talking here self..... #GEJmyhero
ReplyDeleteGEJ is a responsibility man
ReplyDeleteHow does one accepting defeat make him a hero? Isn't that his job? The person we should be thanking is jega. Linda he is not a hero, he failed at his job, please let's not send a wrong message to Buhari. Free and fair election is part of the constitution... He is not a hero, yes a good man but not a hero, do you know a hero means? Linda go check your dictionary
ReplyDeleteSo because gej congratulated buhari he is now a hero? Alright, so because Linda congratulated a friend on her engagement, she is now a hero? Okay.
ReplyDeleteThe world is calling to congratulate Goodluck who lost instead of Buhari who won, this suggests something, Goodluck's act has made him take the shine from Buhari.Kudos GEJ.
ReplyDeleteHaha
ReplyDeleteLinda u funny ohhh
Any way money is everything.
Just because he paid u big money for advert on ur blog!
Lol
Hero fire! Hero for doing his job!
Abeg jona wan go rest pdp and apc on dis blog stop abusing urselves jare. Jonathan is tired of that presidential seat. He was Nigeria's president for 6yrs. He wants to go into another business lolz. Maureen
ReplyDeleteE ma kaabo. I wonder o
ReplyDeleteSAME WITH ME
ReplyDeleteGEJ my hero, God Bless u Sir.
ReplyDeleteHe is a hero for doing the right thing? Na wa for Nigerians. We have lost all value for ourselves to the point where we are now deifying a man who did what he is supposed to do. You forget how he, through his carelessness brought the country's economy to its knee. Na wa oh. We deserve better. He is not a hero for this...I would have called him a hero if he had giving up the first 2 years of office after realizing he couldn't govern this country. He is not a hero because he conceded. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteDEAR LINDA
ReplyDeleteI ALMOST 100% AGREED WITH YOU ON THIS POST BUT THEN I SUDDENLY REMEMBERED A STORY YOU COVERED A FEW WEEKS AGO ABOUT THE LADY WHO FOUND $27.000 AT THE AIRPORT AND RETURNED IT.
WELL DON ON COVERING THIS ELECTION LINDA …….I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS ONE….I JUST WANTED TO MAKE A POINT…I HOPE YOU GET ME………...HEHEHEHEHE……..THAT ALL
GOOD NIGHT LINDA.
He did the proper thing
ReplyDeletehttp://dobzifingers.blogspot.com/?m=1
What he did was good.. calling him a hero, that's too much. Aldoe I hear he knows little about what his aides do, but still his lack of responsibility has led to a lot of nonsense we will like to forget.
ReplyDeleteWhen GEJ publicly apologizes for the mistakes of his team and publicly takes responsibility (saying crucify me instead of them) then he is a hero.
U r a fool Linda! Glorifying a failure. Hypocrite.
ReplyDeleteI have said it too many times. Jonathan is the happiest person on earth. He is so happy to have lost. Now he is relieved. All those close associates. Go Rest. Hero, No! Weak politician. Yes! But Lucky person. Go Rest!
ReplyDeletemost comments are based on our opinions which is good.. but then even if you dont understand African History or know anything about Power, you could have help your self by using the help of wonderful google to learn about any incumbent president mainly in Africa that left office peacefully without much violence and bloodshed maybe then you will understand why most people are commending GEJ acceptance.
