Historic audio of President Jonathan calling to congratulate Buhari (listen)

GEJ is my hero! Every time they called me to come meet him at the Villa, I blatantly refused. Now, one of my life's ambition is to meet President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and shake his hands. Listen to him calling Buhari to congratulate him the day the election results were announced. History will forever remember this man.

    7. I don't understand why they are making him out to be an hero. He did what he was suppose to do, nothing special about that. Besides, information has it that Abubakar was with him when it was obvious that Jonathan was going to loose...to plead with him to concede defeat. So u guys shd please stop with all these propaganda about Jonathan being an hero. It's a bullshit!

    11. This is clearly a PR Stunt, GEJ camp recorded this as further reinforcement of his "supposed" goodwill.

By conceding, GEJ knew he would change the current narrative is incompetent and corrupt leader to that of a national hero.

Thereby, garnering sympathy and leniency when charges are brought upon him or when he and his cohorts are finally exposed and scrutinized for their abject disregard of the people of the Federal Republic.

Let's be very clear, spin-doctors are manipulating your thoughts and actions like you are characters in a video game.

It appears that LIB has also been infiltrated by this propaganda. Be very careful not to become complacent/ implicated in crimes against the Federal Republic, what GEJ put Nigerians through, is tantamount to treason.

    12. GEJ is a peaceful man, he saved Nigeria from the predicted break up and disaster after the elections. If you like criticise him, posterity will vindicate him. Change is here, but may it be a positive one that will move Nigeria forward. Our president elect, please this is democracy, don't use the military kill and bury style to rule us. Thanks.

Dear Linda, the TRUTH is: There is no heroism in accepting defeat when you are DEFEATED in an election. That is how it is done in civilized world. It is not even that this guy donated his presidency to someone else. Linda you are very BIASED. If you felt that the custodian that returned the money found at the airport toilet did the right thing, and does not deserve a special donation from you, WHY do you think that GEJ deserve worship for conceding a glaring defeat? All I know is that we cannot wait for this kleptomaniac government to GO. Enough of bullshit already!!

  82. Awwww...... Good for him if not he would have been peeping out of ICJ cell if he had rejected d outcome n caused turmoil in d country.

He's not a class captain my dear, He is a PRESIDENT. and when you fail as a civil servant, you get the treatment, it's just like encouraging a rapist and tapping him at back because he agreed to the charge, common Linda.

  89. He is a good man. yes!
    This issue is becoming boring.

  90. So someone deliberately recorded the conversation?! SMH! GEJ's action is commendable, but he's not a hero! I know his supporters will not agree.

  92. Been trying to keep my thought to myself on this issue but with the way this hero thing is flying around I begin to wonder how does accepting the defeat make him a hero? Is he expected to die there like Gaddafi of Libya or what? When I even listen to this so called phone call, he wasn't composed, he should be able to express himself more by telling Buhari that he has done his part and it's time for him to continue from where he stopped. So tell me what's the Hero thing about?

  93. ALL NA DRAMA.....
SO EVERY CALL GEJ MAKES IS RECORDED??????
ALL NA WASH TRYING TO CLAIM GOOD MAN....

  94. We are so backward, imagine GMB that has never accepted defeat, he lost about 3 time and we all know the number of people that died. Now, u see a true democrat that accepted defeat in the most beautiful way u are still talking blindly. Well, GMB is a bad loser and GEJ tot him how to lose. Congrats GMB my presido

  95. Don't know why this is a big deal. they do this a lot in the western countries which miz linda knows. So dont understand why this is news. The country is not one persons property. Its the people that decide who they want to lead them. So when you are asked to pass the baton on, you pass it on and wish the next person good luck... finish. Linda is a closed mouth GEJ supporter.

  101. Somebody said southerners are humble. I laugh in ijaw. Jonathan is a good man. (I hope) but it's the same southerners that gave him very bad advice thank God he took Abdulsalam's advice n he didn't wait 4 them to tell him to start shouting like orubebe and Akpabio. Bottom line he did the right thing. Let's move foward.

  104. We should learn to stop over celebrating a right behaviour. He did what he was supposed to do. That people have not been doing it does not make it exceptionally good. At the same time, I'm proud of him for that disposition.

  117. pls all of you saying what he did is normal should calm down, as normal and right as it is, we all knw it is very hard to accept defeat especially when you have the power to change things which he didnt. If Buhari had accepted in 2011 instead of spewing trash then people would not have died in post election violence. GEJ IS A HERO. Lets see what the General has to offer.

  124. Well the guy seems like a good person that wanted to change nigeria but had too many selfish people around him,he tried his best to please all of them forgetting that he was elected to serve the people not just only the ones around him.
